Well when I started writing it that was what he was going to do and then all of a sudden he was Sophie's Dad, I have no idea where it came from

Well I love the fact you went with Drew being Sophie's dad, as him being still in love with Belle would be just a tad too predictable. Plus I cannot wait to see Aden's reaction when he finds out!!!

Chapter 53

“It’s not too late you know Taylor” Drew grinned as the wedding car pulled up onto the beach.

Through the tinted windows she could see her family and friends seated in the rows of white chairs, turquoise fabric bows draped over the back of each of them, as the hundreds of fairy lights illuminating the scene flickered on and off in the gentle breeze.

“Still time to do a runner” Drew chuckled as she lifted her gaze, allowing her eyes to wander down the makeshift aisle, formed by scattered white and silver rose petals between the two groups of chairs until she found him.

Her heart caught in her throat as she watched him share a joke with Roman, his smile lighting up his entire face, his eyes sparkling with happiness and pride.

“It is too late Drew” she whispered softly.

“It’s been too late since the first time he climbed through my window all those years ago”

“Then what are we waiting for?” Drew prompted, opening his door and starting to climb out.

“Do you want me to take her?”

“I’d let you” she sighed as she hugged her tiny daughter close to her.

“But Aden would hate it”

“And that’s my job anyway!” Annie interrupted as she hurried up to the car with Matilda, Nicole and Amanda close behind her, the crowd they created around Belle’s side of the car preventing anyone

from catching a glimpse of Belle before she emerged from the vintage car. Annie had declined Belle’s offer to be part of the bridal party stating she would rather have a cuddle with Alyssia than wear a dress Nicole had chosen.

“Thanks Annie” Belle smiled handing Alyssia over and brushing a quick kiss over her temple before Annie rushed back to the front row seats she had already snagged and Drew pressed his lips to Belle’s cheek.

“Good luck Taylor” he told her with a genuine smile.

“Don’t need luck” she grinned back, her words confident and sincere.

“I better go and find Dad and the twins, it might take a while though” he chuckled.

“Getting married at the crack of dawn was not one of your better ideas Taylor, I can barely see a thing!”

“Drew” she gasped, reaching out for his hand as he climbed out of the car.

She smiled softly as he turned to face her, their hands together. She pushed herself forward on her free hand and whispered quietly in his ear.

“It’ll be ok, if you are Sophie’s Dad then it’ll be a good thing trust me”

He smiled back down at her and pressed another kiss to her cheek before he was gone.

“What was all that about?” Matilda questioned as Belle glanced at Nicole. If the blonde had any idea that Drew could be her daughter’s father she certainly wasn’t giving anything away.

“Oh you know Drew” Belle shrugged off the question.

“He’s always got one drama or another”

“Well just as long as he wasn’t declaring his undying love for you” Matilda chuckled reaching her hand out and helping Belle out of the car.

“The only person Drew has undying love for is himself!” Amanda quipped, as she tenderly raised a hand to brush Belle’s hair, the gentle sea breeze disturbing the dark, loose waves which fell around her

heart shaped face.

“Mum!” Belle exclaimed but couldn’t prevent a tiny laugh from escaping over her glossy lips.

“Ok now I really believe you’re her mother!” Nicole laughed, handing Belle her bouquet, a simple spray of white orchards intermingled with turquoise gems to match the bridesmaids dresses worn by

Matilda and Nicole.

“She had to get that sarcastic streak from somewhere!”

“I might have got it from Amanda” Belle smiled cheekily.

“But Nicole, it was you who helped me hone it to perfection!”

“Glad to be of service” Nicole grinned before giving Belle a quick hug.

“You ready?”

“I think I’ve always been ready” she smiled a tear beginning to fall down her expertly blushered cheek before she could stop herself.

“Hey!” all 3 of the women crowded behind her exclaimed at once.

“No tears, you’ll ruin your make-up”

“Sorry” she laughed softly, wiping away the stray tear and making and smiling happily.

“Ok lets go” she told them and almost instantly a soft, instrumental tune filled the air and Matilda and Nicole slowly began to walk down the aisle.

“Belle, I know I have to be quick” Amanda smiled softly as they finally had a moment alone.

“But I just want you to know that I’m so proud of you and I’m honoured that you asked me to give you away today”

“Who else would I ask?”

“So you asked me because there was no one else?” Amanda sighed, disappointment crashing over her pretty features.

“No” Belle laughed softly.

“There were plenty of people I could have asked Drew, Peter, Geoff but you’re my Mum and I’ve come to realise just how important Mums are lately” she told her, her thoughts wandering slightly to

Irene as she spoke. She missed her every single day but that particular day she missed her much more than most.

“I love you sweetheart” Amanda whispered, tears filling her own eyes.

“I love you too” Belle smiled as she took hold of her mother’s arm and turned to walk down the aisle.

Purposely she moved her right foot forward, her heels sinking slightly in the sand. She felt Amanda tug softly on her arm and stopped instantly, realising that Matilda and Nicole were still only half way

down the aisle. Silently she urged them to hurry up but she knew they were in perfect time with the slow song playing. She cursed herself for having chosen that song and not some high tempo number

with a fast beat. All she wanted in that moment was to run down the aisle to him and to be his wife once more.

Hidden behind the temporary archway draped in white roses she longed to inch forward, to gaze at his beautiful face, to feel that familiar tug on her heart as he smiled at only her.

It was different this time. There was no hint of nerves, there was no tiny slither of fear of the unknown. This time there was only certainty and the butterflies fluttering in her tummy signalled nothing but

love and excitement.

“Now” she heard Amanda’s soft voice whisper and with a smile beaming with happiness she stepped forward and through the archway.

***

As Matilda and Nicole glided down the aisle towards him Aden watched but didn’t really see them. His mind was too occupied with thoughts of his bride, of how stunning she was sure to look, of how much

he loved her and, most of all, how he was living a dream.

There had been so many moments since they had first done this six years ago to the day when he would never have believed that this day would ever be possible and now he was about to marry her

again. In less than half an hour she would be his wife once more and he couldn’t stop smiling at the thought.

“It’s your lucky day” Matilda whispered with a grin as she reached him first and stepped forward on her tiptoes to press a quick kiss to his cheek.

“And don’t I know it?” he gave a low chuckle as the maid of honour took her place at the opposite side of the aisle and suddenly Nicole was before him, her blonde tresses falling in perfect curls around

her shoulders as her diamond earrings sparkled in the glow of the fairy lights.

Instead of kissing his cheek as Matilda had done she turned her own to the left and caught him off guard.

“Kiss” she ordered him quietly when he failed to do so of his own accord, prodding him softly in the chest.

“Oh I get it” he grinned as he brushed his lips against her soft cheek and got a mouthful of blusher for his effort.

“Geoff must be watching” he whispered against her ear so no one else could hear.

“Something like that” she giggled as she reaching forward and pulled him into a quick hug.

“Aden, I...” she spoke softly as she pulled back from the embrace her blue eyes meeting his.

“I know” he nodded, his eyes full of sincerity as his hand gently rubbed her bare arm.

“Me too Princess”

“Mate” Roman’s voice interrupted and instantly Aden twisted his head towards the archway to find his beautiful bride taking her first steps towards becoming his wife once more.

His heart caught in his throat as his gaze wandered over her slender figure and the stunning dress that flowed gracefully over it. The ruched bodice decorated with tiny crystals was beautiful but

understated and couldn’t have been more perfect for Belle if it had been designed especially for her.

He watched her intently as she moved forwards, towards him and their life together, with a beaming smile. She was breathtaking. Her dark hair fluttered softly around her shoulders as he raised his

gaze and appreciated the entire sight of her gracefully negotiating the soft petals strewn beneath her feet.

He had watched her walk down the aisle towards him before but he didn’t remember feeling like this, the force of the love he felt for her hitting him so hard as she raised her head and her deep,

chocolate eyes finally met his, that he almost reached out for Roman to help him keep his balance.

Their eyes locked intently and slowly his beaming grin dissolved into a small, almost secret smile only for her. It didn’t matter that every set of eyes in the place was on either the bride or groom, he felt

like they were the only two people there.

She bit her lip almost seductively before her lips kicked up into a smile too and love and happiness beaming from her entire being towards him. Her confidence reassured him, she was as certain about

this as he was.

He loved her. Of that he was sure. He loved her more than he had six years ago although back then he would never have thought that to be possible. She was different now. She was a mother. A

mother to his children. She had given him his precious boy and girl and the way she loved and cared for them had shown him a completely different side to her.

And he’d yet to see a side to her he didn’t love.

As Belle and Amanda got so close he could smell the familiar scent of her favourite perfume as it wafted under her nose he heard a tiny gasp next to him.

“Mummy looks like a Princess!” Jamie exclaimed loudly, his voice brimming with pride that the beautiful bride was his mother.

Their watching friends and family awed at his comment and with a tiny giggle Belle lifted the hand she clutched her bouquet in and blew her son a kiss. He smiled sweetly at the gesture, his little face

lighting up as Belle felt her heart swell with more love than she thought possible at the sight of her husband to be and their son looking dashing in their smart grey suits and black dress shirts.

Finally reaching their destination Belle and Amanda came to a stop, the bride’s mother tenderly placing a kiss on her daughter’s cheek before taking the hand resting on her arm and placing it between

Aden’s palms. He took it willingly, brushing his thumbs over Belle’s knuckles affectionately.

“Look after her” Amanda spoke softly, her own hand still over theirs.

“I will” he told her with a polite nod of understanding before the blonde slipped away to join the bridesmaids and it was just him and Belle, gazing into each other’s eyes.

“Hello you” she grinned with a smile meant only for him as he took her other hand too and they stepped forward in unison so there was only a tiny gap between them.

“Hello yourself” he smiled with an appreciative glance over her appearance. Her soft cheeks were flushed with excitement and he wondered if his were the same.

“You look...” he hesitated as he searched for the right words before finally leaning forward and whispering into her ear, his warm breath tickling her skin as he did so.

“You render me speechless, there are no words Belle, they’re just not enough”

Smiling coyly she looked up at him and their eyes locked once more.

“We don’t need words” she told him softly, her eyes conveying every ounce of the love she felt for him and, knowing his own eyes were showing her the intensity of his feelings for her, he knew she was

right.

***

“I do” she spoke softly but confidently.

As she did so she remembered his wedding present to her and how he’d said that all he needed was for her to say “I do”. She almost felt as though her words should be grander or wrapped in a giant

red bow, as though somehow they weren’t enough. Because he was right, no words could ever express how she truly felt about the man stood before her.

But as she gazed into his eyes and saw the soft teardrop begin to fall down his smooth cheek at her words she knew it was enough. When he had said it was all he needed, he had been completely

truthful.

“Aden” she sighed softly with a smile as he laughed in embarrassment and she reached up to gently brush away the tear with her thumb before tenderly pressing her lips to the spot she had removed

the tear from.

“I love you” he told her, his voice breaking slightly as she wrapped an arm around his shoulder and pressed her temple against his cheek to prevent their friends and family being able to see the

emotion which she knew would embarrass him.

“I love you too, so much” she whispered as he kissed her forehead before taking hold of her hand and removing it from his shoulder so they were standing face to face once more. He didn’t care who

knew that had cried, all he cared about in that moment was the woman he loved agreeing to become his wife.

“And do you, Aden take Belle to be your wife and promise today before your friends and your family, that you will love and comfort her, honour and protect her and be faithful to her for as long as you

both shall live?”

More tears began to softly roll down Aden’s cheek as Belle glanced up at him her brown eyes wide and expectant, his agreement to their union clearly just as significant to her as hers was to him. He

laughed in slight embarrassment as a wave of soft laughter also flowed through their family and friends. He barely heard them as he remained focused on Belle and only Belle.

“Silly question huh?” he let out another low laugh before hugging her hands closer to him and speaking the words confident and clear.

“I do”

Tears began to fill her eyes as lifted her right hand and pressed it to his lips. Her heart was pounding against her chest and she struggled to remember how to breathe as an overwhelming joy consumed

her.

“Does the Best Man have the rings?”

Instantly his hand shot to the inside pocket of his jacket as he delved in to retrieve the rings, which were new in contrast to the engagement ring already resting on Belle’s finger, and stepped forward to

drop them into the hand of the celebrant.

“The one with sparkly bits in is Mummy’s” he informed them with a sweet grin as his parents chuckled softly and Aden slipped a hand from Belle’s to ruffle his son’s blond hair affectionately.

Belle dropped to Jamie’s level and pressed a kiss to his smooth cheek before he stepped back next to Roman with a sweet grin up at her and Aden gently pulled her back up to face him once more.

Taking the white gold ring from the celebrant Belle took Aden’s left hand in her own and let the ring hover above his fourth finger as she repeated the words as instructed.

“With my body I honour you” she told him softly with a seductive smirk which elicited cheeky giggles from both of them.

“All that I am I give to you and all that I have I share with you” she continued before she carefully pushed the ring into place on his finger and rested her hand over his with a smile mirrored by him.

“Aden, I give you this ring as a symbol of my commitment and the desire of my heart”

His smile soft and heartfelt he then spoke the same words, holding her fingertips gently in his before pushing the ring onto her finger, his movement steady and confident as she beamed up at him.

The ring slotted into place, fitting perfectly around her engagement ring as though it was an extension of the diamond ring he had presented her with six years ago, almost to the day. His smile widened

slightly as he thought of how appropriate it was, their present relationship was not separate and distinct from the one they had back then, it was simply an extension of the love they had before.

“I love you” he mouthed silently as he raised his head back to meet her gaze.

“I know” she mouthed back with a knowing giggle as they held hands tightly and became completely absorbed in each other, the words of the celebrant flowing over them until she spoke the words that

pronounced them husband and wife once more and instructed Aden that he could now kiss his bride.

He didn’t need telling twice, stepping forwards and cupping Belle’s face tenderly in his hands. He brushed her soft cheeks gently with his thumbs before lowering his head towards her. She bit her lower

lip in anticipation as her stomach flipped and titled her head to meet that of her new husband.

As they kissed soft, slow and brimming with love the sun steadily rose over the beach behind them signaling the beginning of a new day.

Their first as husband and wife.

Again.

That was really sweet, I must admit to a little tear at this bit:

“Mummy looks like a Princess!” Jamie exclaimed loudly, his voice brimming with pride that the beautiful bride was his mother.

Their watching friends and family awed at his comment and with a tiny giggle Belle lifted the hand she clutched her bouquet in and blew her son a kiss. He smiled sweetly at the gesture, his little face

lighting up as Belle felt her heart swell with more love than she thought possible at the sight of her husband to be and their son looking dashing in their smart grey suits and black dress shirts.

Can't wait for the next update, looking forward to finding out who Drew hooked up with!

It was Nicole, did that not come across?! I thought the "And it seems she's Aden's sister" line gave it away?
