And then she ended up disappearing from the show after they all told her they really really wanted to still be friends with her.

Oh, I’m sure Jade would still go round to her house to see her (even though we didn’t actually see her). And I even remember her handing in a project (in 2003) in arguably one of the best Home and Away episodes of all time – Angie’s Demise.

“You will die with my name on my lips. That much I promise you.”

Ah the good old days.

I saw some of an episode on Fiver tonight. It was really interesting seeing some of the past characters. Why was everybody in London tho?

They were there for the UK launch of the book that Don Fisher wrote and Hayley illustrated.

Thanks, that's satisfied my curiosity. :) I thought they'd all gone on holiday to the same place for some strange reason! :P

Yeah, you're right, she was around then.Although I think, and I could be wrong, that was the first time we'd seen her since the Nick and Jade stuff two years previous.

Another thing about those episodes and I think we'll see in a bit because they're showing one of those episodes later in the run:I think the actress who played the journalist that took a shine to Alex is the same one that played his girlfriend Kelli the following year.

That guy that worked at the Hotel did my head in. Why, oh why when foreign shows have a British person on they feel that have to over emphasise their accents? It was so irritating.

Thank you! I felt exactly the same, though I forget to mention that in my original post. If any non-English people have seen that episode, can I just say that not all of us sound like Robbie. I've hardly ever met anyone with an accent like his, and thank goodness for that :P.

Yeah and we're not so boring, sterotypical and pointless either, honestly he has to be the most boring character they've ever written, all that art stuff with Hayley gasping so falsely in awe was just cringeworthy. In fact, both episodes on a whole were terrible, that random auction, Will's melodramatic exit (even though he's gone for like two weeks), even Marilyn's appearance was a big ball of depression, they shouldn't have reduced such a fun character to that, I know she has good reason to be depressed, but it's not a nice way to send her off, particularly with no goodbyes or anything, it was just a talking scene and then she was gone forever.

The only thing I did like was Sally managing to get through to the deaf girl, and her singing, that was interesting......

Yeah I agree, and at the time my parents were disappointed by Maz's appearance in the UK too. It was left in rather a cold way it was hard to think of her as the same bubbly Maz from her permanent stints. I know she'd be depressed, but I think she by the time we got to see her in the UK they should have written her with as much of a comedic undertone as possible, but that scene in the park was quite poignant when you way up the circumstances.

In regards to yesterday’s first episode with Alf/Alisa and Summer Bay in the future, I totally forgot about that one (memory’s getting worse). I guess the episode earlier on in the year involving Sally on the operating table after being stabbed by Johnny Cooper was yet another recycled storyline. I thought it seemed familiar, I just couldn’t remember where.

In regards to the second episode I guess this was the beginning of the end for Jesse. Why couldn’t the writers have just made him and Chloe drive off into the Sunset together? Why destroy two characters like that?

I totally agree with you on this. I dont see why they felt the need to kill off one long standing character and send another long standing character to prison for manslaughter of the other.

It was ridiculous to kill off Chloe like they did and ruin Jesse's character by him killing Chloe in the car accident!!

It would have been so much better for them to leave together instead of destroying 2 old favourites !!
