Deborah Posted October 28, 2008 Report Posted October 28, 2008 We have a lot of adverts in the middle of the programme usually. I can sometimes take my little boy up to bed & read him a short story & the adverts are still on when I come downstairs! I think, I'm not sure though, that the more popular a programme is on that channel the more adverts they put on. Wondering if they are going to do more ad breaks because of Christmas not being that long away.
Red Ranger 1 Posted October 28, 2008 Report Posted October 28, 2008 We still only had one ad break on Channel 5 this evening, on the episode you were all watching yesterday. How many did you get on Five Life? I don't think the ad breaks are that long, they just fill out the time with a lot before and after the episode(it's usually done by about 25 past). It's bugging me now so I think I'm going to have to time the next one.
Zetti Posted October 28, 2008 Report Posted October 28, 2008 Only one in todays fiver. It must have only been a onceoff.
Reo Posted October 28, 2008 Report Posted October 28, 2008 There was 2 today. Which meant that when I turned over to E4 Hollyoaks it had already started and yesterday it was about to start. Normally I have to sit for E4's adverts before it came on. I really hope it stops. I dont want to sit through 2 sets of adverts in 30mins and always miss the start of another programme.
marthajacklover Posted October 28, 2008 Report Posted October 28, 2008 Yeah your correct Reo there were 2 adverts today on the fiver episode...and like you i missed the start of Hollyoaks as it now runs longer when they are putting 2 breaks in it.....anyway i have emailed channel 5 to see if this will be a regular thing on fiver....if/when i get a response will let you know what they said...
Red Ranger 1 Posted October 29, 2008 Report Posted October 29, 2008 Still only one ad break on Channel 5.Looks like we've escaped. For anyone who...cares, I timed it and it came to pretty much exactly four minutes.
