Symphony Posted May 6, 2009 Report Posted May 6, 2009 I re-watched the movie on the plane yesterday and am feeling a little more friendly to it second time round
freakybuffy Posted May 6, 2009 Report Posted May 6, 2009 Can someone help me, I'm trying to enter a UK comp (Heat mag) and the question is what is Carlisle chopping in the Kitchen? With me not eating meat, I havn't got a clue how you can tell the difference between all the differnt types. And I don't think they'll except me putting meat down. Please can someone help me! Has anyone got the Twilight Companion written by Lois H Gresh? I saw it a few days ago and wondered if it was worth a read.
Cerise Posted May 6, 2009 Report Posted May 6, 2009 Looks like chicken to me, it could be pork though. I'd go with Chciken. Whats the competition for, just out of interest?
Pengzilla Posted May 6, 2009 Report Posted May 6, 2009 Natalia - You're totally entitled to your own opinion. I agree a lot of the things you say about the book, however not the way you feel about them. If that makes sense. But the first "dumbing down of society" is a bit extreme... I mean, I personally love the books because they make me laugh. I like High School Musical because of the cheesyness... and I love this because of... the unrealisticness. Like you said, the fact that he stalks her and they don't find it weird I find brilliant. I love it. It's a book where you can totally get lost in your imagination, beause it's the closest you're ever going to get to vampires and vampire babies and vampire rules and vampire romantic-stalkers. I don't think people necessarily take it oh-so-seriously for it to mean society is "dumbing down." I'm not dumbing down, I know a lot of not dumb friends that love it. Vampires aren't real, by the way. So they don't have to die in the sun. Someone wrote a story about that once upon a time, about vampires who died in the sun and got stabbed in the heart by stake knives or whatever, and it's kinda stuck with most people. Coca-Cola put Santa in the red suit - doesn't mean he actually wears a red suit. No one has seen santa. So she's perfectly able to put her own spin on it. 'Cause vampires aren't actually real. Thought I'd clear that one up for you. And Mormon? You say it like its a bad thing. :/ Why does it have to be bad? It's just her style. Oh, and it was suggested that Bella nearly got raped. I wasn't going to write anything back, because I didn't want it to look like I had a problem with you disliking the book. Because I REALLY don't. Like.. not at all. Not in the slightest. I think you're more involved with it than I am! BUT you raised points that I did want to discuss, because I had opinions on your opinions. Opinions opinions..

Cheers someone has said to me either Ham or Pork. I've watched the scene about 10 times trying to work out whats being said in the TV in the background when they are talking, but I can't hear anything. It's so annoyying normally comps have such an easy question, I think I'll pop to the supermarket and have a look at the fresh counter at the Pork, Chicken and Ham. It's to be an extra in New Moon. They fly you and a freind to Italy for 3 days and get to have lunch with the cast.
bay girl Posted May 13, 2009 Report Posted May 13, 2009 Jackson Rathbone (Jasper) is on Criminal Minds right now. It's weird seeing him with his darker hair.
Cerise Posted May 13, 2009 Report Posted May 13, 2009 Saw that episode a few weeks ago. I think he looks much better with darker hair actually. He's amazing in that episode though, I f'adore it. <3
