Cerise Posted April 16, 2009 Report Posted April 16, 2009 I'm pale... I'm not irish, but I look typically Irish... I can do an Irish accent pretty well... CAST ME CAST ME!
Barbara Posted April 16, 2009 Report Posted April 16, 2009 ^ What are you still doing here then? Go to the airport and fly to Canada!
Cerise Posted April 16, 2009 Report Posted April 16, 2009 Sure, I just need to dye my hair red again so I look authentically Irish and root out that passport
bay girl Posted April 16, 2009 Report Posted April 16, 2009 just bought twiglight gonna go watch it too excited to spell right! How did you get it already? It's not supposed to come out until wednesday.
Pengzilla Posted April 17, 2009 Report Posted April 17, 2009 I loved the film... but I think I only loved it out of loyalty. Did anyone think that it hadn't been performed like they'd imagined? I remember thinking the "What if I'm.. the bad guy?" would be spoken TOTALLY different. I was actually quite gutted when he rushed through it. I wanted some emphasis! The kiss scene they did well though. I have no arguments right there. But the growling. That was pretty cringey.
Symphony Posted April 17, 2009 Report Posted April 17, 2009 just bought twiglight gonna go watch it too excited to spell right! How did you get it already? It's not supposed to come out until wednesday. I'm in Bangkok at the moment ;) GOD I was SO dissatisfied with the movie :( Like seriously - I could have cried!! Like ... where was the da*n chemistry between Bella & Edward? It sure as heck wasn't on my screen. Everytime they were together, it was all tense, and whinging, and geez, I half expected both of them to start crying. - where were the good times, the laughs, the WARMTH between them of first love?! Crying out loud. And Emmett - isn't he supposed to be 'scary' looking?! With the baseball cap on backwards, and the goofy grin permanently plastered to his face, he looked like your all around American jock with more beauty than brains I have so many complaints - I know it's 'based' on the book, but for me, I think they left out too much important stuff Like Alice not knowing her history, and Belle finding it out from James. And, the way Bella escaped from Alice & Jasper was just silly; they'd never have left her alone, the situation was too dangerous! And the baseball game - like the 'crack' when the ball hit the bat was nothign, I was thinking along the lines of the sound of an earthquake or something! And the way Edward 'snarled' - that was like a tame cat hissing when something gets its back up. ARGH. I was so looking forward to finally seeing this movie, and it was just one big let down ... i'm off to my corner to cry.
Cal Posted April 17, 2009 Report Posted April 17, 2009 Lol. The movie was nowhere near as good as the book, I'll give you that. I just enjoyed the movie for what is was... a movie. The book is something I can read a thousand times over and never get bored of it. The content of the movie wasn't that great, and that all goes back to the script writer, but the Directing was quite good, so I think that's why I enjoyed it.
Pengzilla Posted April 17, 2009 Report Posted April 17, 2009 I agree Symphony. Not quite to the same extent, but the film doesn't do the book justice at all. It left out lots of things I'd of liked it to have in. But it's not just that. They've obviously put like a green/blue tint to it all. I think that's the worst part. I know why they've done it, so that it looks cold and wet... but it just LOOKS crap. But I have to say Symphony, after the bit on the stoney stuff where he tells her about being a vegetarian, they're much more couply. They seem like they like each other there. Also, has anyone watched the audio commentary? If you haven't done it yet, please make a note of how many times Robert Pattison comments on his appearance, because I will actually hurt him if I hear him say one more thing! He's so vain! He is always making a negative comment, but it's the fact that he's looking and he's commenting that appears so vain! Pfft.
