Zetti Posted August 23, 2008 Report Posted August 23, 2008 Well maybe but getting there is an achievement in itself
Nathan. Posted August 24, 2008 Report Posted August 24, 2008 Ryan, you're so passionate about the Olympics
Slade Posted August 24, 2008 Report Posted August 24, 2008 I think overall it’s been a very good Olympics. Well done to China for topping the Medals table! It’s interesting because quite a few US sites I’ve been to actually have the US positioned at the top for winning the most Medals (as opposed to the most gold medals).
MissOlivia22 Posted August 24, 2008 Report Posted August 24, 2008 Finally its over !!! XD And we came fourth It doesn't really interest me that much, Only the gymnastics and swimming. The other stuff bored me.
princess_in_pink Posted August 24, 2008 Report Posted August 24, 2008 The closing ceremony was fantastic. So much effort and thought went into it. Very detailed and overall is was brilliant. How on earth are we gonna top that. Even with all that money I don't think it will buy the British Culture [its eroded] or the creative mind of the previous hosts. Or maybe I'm just a pessimist. This years Olympics was been really good overall. Coming Forth was also fantastic. Bring on 2012!
Eko Posted August 24, 2008 Report Posted August 24, 2008 I think overall it’s been a very good Olympics. Well done to China for topping the Medals table! It’s interesting because quite a few US sites I’ve been to actually have the US positioned at the top for winning the most Medals (as opposed to the most gold medals). USA only did that just so that they can be No 1. They can't take it that China Beat them in the gold medal count. I think all country rank it by number of gold medals. Team GB done well but still need to improve on the Track and field. London can't compete with China so we just have to be relaxed and make it as fun as possible. Can't wait for 2012 as well. China has done so well loved the closing ceremony!
Ryan Posted August 24, 2008 Report Posted August 24, 2008 America have always ranked by total medals, and in the past it never used to matter as they would finish top either way.
ayeshax Posted August 25, 2008 Report Posted August 25, 2008 I remember 2004 so well and for me that tops this. That's probably because that was the first Olympics I watched with interest. Michael Phelps was great. I love the picture of him on SI hopefully the others do better. Usain Bolt. There's no words left that haven't already been said. Great for Jamaica. Overall. I loved it. My favorites were Shawn Johnson winning her gold on the beam and MP fingetip touch and Usain Bolt's 100m.
~Dom~ Posted August 26, 2008 Report Posted August 26, 2008 Is it just me or is there like nothing good on TV now! I'm getting withdrawral symptoms!
