Recast characters

I think the worse recast would have to be Flynn

the first Flynn was great, 2nd one was a bad actor in my opinion

Both Flynns were totally different especially in there personalities

Here's who I like better in recasts:

Pippa - Vanessa Downing she was much a warmer person then Debra Lawrence. I always found Vanessa's Pippa more postive too and she was lively and had spark to her that Debra never had. But I did Love Debra Lawence. I am always very pleased to see her when she returns and I always take things she says to my heart but however Vanessa had that warmth about her that Debra's Pippa never had. Thats why it would of been better if they were two different characters.

Irene - Without doubt Lynne McGranger. If Jackie had stayed in the role home and away would never have been what it is today. Lynne I think is one recast that everyone likes better.

Ailsa - Judy Nunn without doubt but, however, I do think it might have worked if they brought back Nancy when Judy left.

Hayley - Bec I prefer. I thought she was a better actress because I found Eilza only could act nice whereas Bec could do drama as well as comedy.

I think that they could have recast some like Vinnie rather than killing him off - he'd been off screen long enough to get away with it - although played by he same actor - the Jesse pre-jail was very different to the one who returned to the bay. And what did happen to Henry Hunter - he'd be finished boarding school now

I think it sort of depends on the character. Like I always hated the idea, but what they did with Libby in Neighbours recently really impressed me. I thought it would fail miserably as she has been on the show for years. Maybe it was because I knew Kim was coming back in a month, but still, it worked well! And it was good the way they had Susan at the start telling us that she was playing the role of Libby- unlike H & A, where we just have to presume that because Sally talks to this random man named Flynn, that he is indeed our Flynn!

But some characters it didnt really matter- like Rory, and Henry- as they hadn't been on the show that long. What annoyed me about Rory though was the fact that he was like 8 at first, then in high school the next time!

Yeah i totally agree, Lynne has really turned Irene's character around and made her into the person we all love today
