Your view of the Return of Kirsty and Kane!!! and New arri

Initially when I heard Kirsty and Kane were returning I wasn’t sure what to make of it. I was in two minds. Part of me wanted them to return because I didn’t like the idea of them living on the run especially with a child.

It bothered me that Kirsty and Kane would never see their friends and family again and Oliver would never get to know his Grand Parents and aunties. However I was more inclined to them not coming back because I felt their departure/ending was so perfect and typified their entire relationship and time within the bay. To come back would have ruined that and when they left in 2005 I felt that their time was up anyway (as without the rest of the Sutherlands their storylines weren’t as good anymore).

Three years is a long time in soapland and apart from Irene I don’t feel they have any real connection to the bay anymore as all of Kirsty’s family are now in the city and most of their friends at the time of their departure (Tasha, Haley, Scott, Beth, Sally, Flynn etc) are no longer there. Also, past storylines have showed that on a number of occasions returning characters have been ruined.

After watching the most recent episodes, although I have enjoyed seeing them again, I now wish that they hadn’t come back.

I'm really in two minds too, I did enjoy seeing them back but there was something really grating about kirsty's acting at first, especially the first few scenes with Irene, and when she kept saying to Kane about going to the police she really annoyed me, and her eyes were all over the place! also its ending here in the uk next friday (ahhh!! SO cross about that!!) so having just now got used to Kirsty she'll probably grate on me when it comes back on again in FOUR WEEKS!!!!!!!

Saying that I'd really like Kirsty to get with Miles, its been so long since there was an age-gap relationship, I actually can't really remember one. But not for a while as she'll need time to get over Kane, and it was one of my favourite storylines ever when they got together and eventually left, and I'm kind of liking how miles and leah are panning out. Still think there should be an age gap relationship tho!

Is it just me, or does Kirsty sound totally different to how she used to? Her accent is different, I find it a bit irritating to be honest!

I'm not sure how I feel about them coming back, their exit suited them perfectly, so this kind of ruins it a bit. They do still have some ties in the bay other than Irene, Kirsty and Matilda were step-sisters for a while, Kane and Colleen were quite close during Kane's cancer storyline, Colleen was really supportive of him then. Kirsty was also friends with Leah.

I'm currently a week or so behind, still got tapes to watch at home, but so far I'm not sure about their return.

Ollie is really sweet though, Kane has improved with age too! There's someone missing though... where's Eduardo Bearo?!?

I love that they came back with the addition of little ollie he is a talented little actor and not to forget cute as a button!

There's someone missing though... where's Eduardo Bearo?!?

He was caught helping Kane rob a luxury apartment block while they were on the run. Broke his leg as they jumped from the window. Kane ran back to help but Eduardo reminded him of the deal, that neither talked to the cops if one got unlucky and that Kane had a wife and kid to look after. Police sirens were screaming all round and Kane had to flee. He's now trying to find out on the prison grapevine which jail Eduardo's being held in.
