There isn't a tour unfortunately, but you can view information on the locations on our main website under the 'On Location' section (click it in my signature) so that you can visit them yourself. The studios are not open to the public so you can only see them filming on location.

Your best bet to catch them is at Palm Beach, as the majority of exteriors are now filmed there (the beaches, Surf Club and Pier Diner) since they moved the Diner from Collaroy. The days they film vary, but usually they can be found there towards the beginning of the week (Mon-Wed)

I went to Palm Beach in December 06 and took the ferry from Ettalong.

You can get a bus from where the Ferry leaves you off but it only takes about 10 minutes to walk there. Just go up the hill to the left an follow the road around.

Ah yes, forgot to add that there is the normal bus service from the Ferry to the other side of the hill - though as Alison said it is only a 10 min walk.

Thing is, if you do see the cast shooting on location at Palm Beach, would you be allowed to go and get pictures with them? Otherwise there would not really be any point in going there! :)

I´m planning to go to Aus at the end of 2011 and really would like to know if it´s worth visiting Palm Beach.

I think its worth visiting Palm Beach regardless of whether the cast are there or not, its a beautiful location and I've enjoyed just strolling around. I remember the first time I went there when I was a kid and looking at the spot Angel and Shane drove off after their reception at the Surf Club and just generally being in 'Summer Bay'! I'm not really interested in meeting the actors but I personally wouldn't want to be there when the cast are becuase I assume there isn't the same amount of freedom to explore if they are filming.

There would be a lot of point besides getting pictures. Just the experience of watching your favourite show being filmed, and even if the cast weren't there, just walking along that beach and seeing the locations that hold so many memories.

Personally I'd prefer if the cast weren't there, means you are not restricted in where you can go, and besides most of the current characters aren't of interest to me. I'd rather visit the haunts and locations of my favourite old characters/scenes, as Alexx says, and have the freedom to do so without them being there filming the current crappy episodes :D
