Sally's best and worst bits

Now that Sally's announced her decision to leave in the UK I thought it might be interesting to see what people thought of Sally, why she was so popular and what we thought some of her best and worst times were.

If anyone wants to submit a review of their opinions on Sally, just a paragraph or so, I could likely find a use for it on the main site.

For me the thing that made Sally so likeable was that she was consistantly written. She came to the Bay as a child who had been through a traumatic experience and was desperately insecure clinging to an imaginary friend. Throughout her teenage years she was portrayed as the brianiac, not as pretty as her foster sisters Shannon and Sophie and not as popular with the boys. She suffered from huge amounts of self doubt and self hatred which escalated after her failed wedding to Kieran causing her OCD. Even with Vinnie, finally moving out of the Caravan Park Sally still was underconfident and suffered from compulsiveness but she was also a really good friend to those around her and always seemed to pick herself up from whatever life threw at her but not without it leaving scars. Flynn gave her stability but then he died, possibly the worst point in her life leaving her with two teenagers and a young child to bring up. She clung to Brad for stability even though she didn't feel for him what she had for Flynn. Alf running over Pippa was a real heartbreaking moment for me when Sally broke down to Leah saying that the accident had taken away her last little bit of security. The tie ins with her past character were great and made me emphasise with Sal even though I really wanted her and Alf to make up. Recently Johnny stabbing her, her Near death experience and the revelation that Miles was real have almost given her back some of her strength. Miles gives her the support that Milco used to and Tom confirmed to her that she will see Flynn again but that she is needed and important to those around her. The new found confidence allowed her to take back control after losing her job and make the decision to go travelling, leaving on a high. Her decision is in character and ties up a lot of loose ends from her past.

What does everyone else think?
