Weird location/season question

There are a LOT of flies around on screen at the moment..! I noticed them at Dan's memorial which has also just aired here in the UK butI watch Aus pace as well and a lot of beach scenes equal lots of flies! Is it like...fly season or something? This is a genuine question haha! Thanks

There's just normally alot of flies around during the Summer. I barely take notice these days because I'm used to it, though I have no idea why there's more of them during the Spring/Summer months then Autumn/Winter... It must be a "hot" thing.

That's because flies sleeps in the winter!

Must be specially bad this year at Palm Beach. Have noticed cast members virtually eat flies at times whilst delivering lines!

I have noticed the flies much more this year and have been distracted watching the flies rather than the plot!

It was, it was absolutely unbearable!

The guys at the Surf Club were saying it was extremely unusual to have so many, putting it down to the storms that were around at the time.

I don't know how anyone could act anything other than frustrated when surrounded by flies. I worked in the Northern Territory for a bit and the flies drove me insane. Only time I missed Ireland! So kudos to the cast members for not throwing a hissy fit mid scene....
