Liz Posted August 16, 2006 Report Posted August 16, 2006 Unusually for this contest, none of the avatars seem an obvious instant choice, but I'm voting for #11, as it strikes me as the best use of colour.
-Karen- Posted August 17, 2006 Report Posted August 17, 2006 This is a tough one I think the idea behind 3 and 10 are fantastic and in my opinion do represent the true meaning of the word 'Hero' (I especially would like to give credit to 3 as it is very different to most avatars and is subtle yet effective). However, I believe an avatar should be judged on the visual impact so therefore give my vote to number 2. The face is strong and sharp, the background is subtle and does not draw your attention away from the main features, the brushes/fonts suit the image and the cropping is fantastic

Liz Posted August 29, 2006 Report Posted August 29, 2006 I am voting for number 2, as I believe it to be the best example of cropping. I like the use of the mask brush and the lovely neon A.
