claire_louise Posted February 29, 2008 Report Posted February 29, 2008 Ric turned 18 a while back, I can't remmeber how long ago that was now. Didn't Ric have his 20th birthday just recently? He's either 19 or 20 now anyway. Tony is about 41 I think, as they said something about him being 40 when Beth was still around. I remember everyone saying that it was stupid, as he has a son in his early-mid twenties! I think Jack is about 24. I don't think it's stupid that Tony's 41 and Jack is in his early-mid twenties. It just means Tony was really young when Jack was born. It's not really unrealistic either. It reminds me of the Peter & Drew storyline. But Drew was the result of a teenage pregnancy, whereas Tony was supposedly married and settled down when Jack was born. Which would mean he got married at about 16! I suppose it's plausible at a stretch, but at the very least he'd have to have been 17 or 18 when Jack was born.

tanya Posted March 2, 2008 Report Posted March 2, 2008 how old do you think michael was? and was martha born in 1988? so now she's 20? when did she get married to jack? coz i'm just wondering how young she must have been, and then she went through a whole series of crazy relationships, had an abortion, was about to leave town to go and live with a guy...all by the time she was 20??? is that right? and is annie 14? i thought she was 12!! lol

Martha was born on the show in September 1988, which would make her 19 now, but the character was aged by 18 months in 2005 to join the show to fill the void left by Dani Sutherland, they needed another young woman, not a teen. So Martha will be 21 next month, which is her new age, not her original one. She was 19 when she married Jack. Annie is 14, she was 13 when she arrived, but she turned 14 soon after. She seems younger because she was kept back a year in school and her best friend Rory is only 12.

Ric is definitely 20, he just had his birthday party. I didn't know Drew was younger than him though, I thought they were both 20 ish and Lucas was 18. I think I remember Irene being 50 a while ago, because she was going on about how old she was, and getting depressed. Its nice that people who were 'born on the show' e.g. Martha, are now in it as characters. I didn't watch it in 1988, I thought Martha was just some unknown grand daughter of Alf! Because wasn't Ric an unknown grandchild of Alf?

The Guv told him a bit before she died. It turned out that Owen was a violent father. When he died, Alf wanted to create a bond with Ric, his grandson. Their relationship was a bit complicated at first but they got along afterwards.

I know he's repeating and all but I remember that when he first came to the Bay he was 6 months away from turning 18 so that would mean he's around Ric's age now or 19 at least.
