UK Catching Up With Aus.

So H&A will be catching up with Australia. YEY!!! Couldn't help myself

But how close will we be when H&A returns down under on 28 January?

When Home and Away returns on the 28th the UK will only be 5 Week behind OZ! How good is that. I would thing Five will be taking a few more breaks over the year.

I thought five couldn't get anymore than 6 weeks behind

In another thread somebody else posted that in the contract they have with seven they have to remain at least 6 weeks behind

We're not allowed to catch up with the Australian eps, so if we get too far ahead it means that five won't be able to show H&A so often. We've already had to have a break over Christmas to stop this happening (something five have never done before). When H&A was on ITV they ended up catching up too far and had to reduce the show to four times a week.

How many weeks did Home and Away take for its Christmas break in Oz? Its usually 6 weeks isnt it? If that is the case then I think we will be 7 weeks behind. However if it is 8 week break then 5 weeks.

Im not sure being so close is such a good thing, it will mean more breaks. If Oz take 6-8 weeks a year off then the uk will need to do the same.

I know we Can't be less than 6 weeks behind, so they might put some old episodes instead, like what they said they would over Christmas,...but didn't. I guess we'll find out over the next week or two.
