Out of the Blue

I wonder if I’m the only person that doesn’t like Poppy. She is a royal pain in the backside. Firstly I’m so sick and tired of her constantly sulking and moaning. I didn’t like the way she spoke about Jarrod and Becka conspiring. Yes she does have a point (as she thought she’d witnessed a murder) but it was just the way she had to make it all about her (i.e. not the fact that they were keeping secrets but they were keeping secrets from her). Similarly at the baby shower every time Becka tried to console Gabby, Poppy had to just keep hassling them rather than let them be. You could see that Gabby was upset but she had to keep pressing her to tell her what the problem was when it was obvious she wasn’t ready to tell anyone but Poppy just wouldn’t shut up about it. I’m glad they blew her out. Becka was right, she was acting like a paranoid idiot. It’s funny that she wanted them to trust her and tell her what their secret was but she wasn’t able to trust Becka and Jarrod regarding Philby’s murder. Then just as Debra came in she made a remark about how she couldn’t bare to look at her then it was like “Hello Debra”. When Debra went ape (I thought she was brilliant by the way) I’m glad that scarred Poppy. In fact she looked petrified. That’ll teach her. Regarding Marcus we can see he’s up to something and she’s right not to trust him but I’m so tired of her (and her snide remarks) that I kind of hope he does do something to break her and Peta up so she can bloody well stop going on about him interfering in her relationship. I will say a couple of positive things about her though. Firstly she did seem genuinely concerned for Tess when after she ran off during the baby shower and secondly she isn’t bad looking isn’t she?

Anyhow, enough of Poppy. I’m not a parent but I feel that Emily is way too lenient with her son. He breaks into her car takes her handbag, goes through her wallet and helps himself to her cash and she just brushes it off. Then he steals a boat, injures Peta, leaves her for dead and she punishes him with no video games for a week. Hello, a little bit of perspective wouldn’t go amiss. I did get the impression thought that she’s actually scarred of him for some reason. And she didn’t want the punishment to be too harsh in case of any repercussions. I do understand where she was coming from not telling Addo straight away though. I actually thought he was going to finish with her when he found out she had a kid.

I guess from what Martin said and watching the most recent episodes with Detective Wilson guessing the password to Philby’s laptop we are getting closer. I’m dying to find out who the murderer is but I see no point in second guessing because I suspect it will be a compete shock.

Now much as I love OOTB,

I did think that password on Philby's laptop was ridiculous. Wasn't it a really long one, who would have a password that long

... *coughs*.

Anyway, I am kind of finding some episodes boring. I'm sort of over the whole who killed Philby and I would rather they focused on Daniel & Lucia. He is so sweet with her.

Really enjoyed tonight's episode. Obviously a re-watch but somehow as gripping as ever. Loved the bit where Tess found George's remains and Daniel was forced to reveal all. And now a real treat in store tomorrow with the mystery solved at last.

Out of the Blue is without a doubt the best thing on TV.

I haven’t seen tonight’s episode but the last week kind of felt like the calm before the storm. Still stuff happening but nothing major (relatively speaking). Emily gets kicked out of her house and virtually emotionally blackmails Addo into moving in. We then find out she’s got a gambling addiction (as if we hadn’t worked that one out already). Paul and Gabby declare their undying love for each other and decide to give things another go (even though Ron has reservations as he feels he’s doing this out of more out of obligation than anything and she is simply going along). BTW Poppy annoyed me again when she called Marcus out about his lying and scheming. I’m not excusing what he did but it felt like Poppy was more focused on getting one over on him and not letting him win than actually saving her relationship with Peta. And it just infuriated me the way she came across with such attitude. Peta was equally annoying too but she had more of a reason to get upset. Whatever she has with Poppy it must be good to turn down $100000 a year for the rest of her life. Yeah so good they are always arguing. And we get to find out this secret Becka and Jarrod had for the last couple of weeks. So Philby killed his dad and disposed of the body which is obviously what Daniel dug up previously. After the stuff that happened with Blade I find it hard to believe she is capable of murder. I’m glad Kirsten openly said that she was there for her.

I’ll have to try and watch the next episode on Demand Five or tomorrow morning on Fiver as things seem set up perfectly now. Expecting fireworks and Pistols at dawn….

You won't be disappointed! I hope.

The show is moving to 4.05pm (5.05pm on +1) after this week. I just hope the people who have been watching are able to keep doing so.
