Lesley Bee Posted November 22, 2008 Report Posted November 22, 2008 This is going to be really hard, is there anything we can say?
Mrs Bishop Posted November 22, 2008 Report Posted November 22, 2008 every think will have to go in spoilers so the aussie dont know what were on about but of corse we wont know either I think so we will have to get special glasses.
Miranda Posted November 24, 2008 Report Posted November 24, 2008 I forgot to tell you what Five said when I wrote to them the other day: I wrote: Dear Five I am just writing to say how pleased I and my fellow Out of the Blue fans are with regard to your decision to buy the series and show it from the beginning next year. We all think it is a brilliant series- intriguing, gripping, affecting with top class acting- and can't understand why it has not been a smash hit. We hope you do not reconsider your decision because this series will almost definitely win you a lot of viewers. Thank you once again Their reply was: Thank you for your recent enquiry regarding Out Of The Blue. We were delighted to read that you are looking forward to watching the programme on our channel. We have logged your words of support for the programme in our Viewer Enquiries Report which will be circulated throughout the company. If there is anything further we can help you with, please do not hesitate to contact us. Thank you for your interest in Five. Yours sincerely Terry VIEWER ADVISOR
Deborah Posted November 24, 2008 Report Posted November 24, 2008 That was a good idea, writing to Five, Miranda. Glad you got a reply. Seems so odd the Australians being behind on this! Maybe the powers that be, should separate it out into Australian discussion & British/General discussion, like they do with H&A, otherwise there will be a lot of completely black posts on here!
Mrs Bishop Posted November 24, 2008 Report Posted November 24, 2008 Origanally OOTB was made for the BBC to replace neighbours whitch they were loseing to Five but then I think Channel 10 in OZ decided to show it I know its being shown in New Zealand and has been for a little whilebut I hope thar Seven who make the series make another load of episodes else it will end up like Headland so thats what we have to concentrate on.
carmelle Posted November 24, 2008 Report Posted November 24, 2008 That was really nice of Five to reply to you. Surely they have to make another series after this now. By the time OOTB makes its way to Fiver it will have more fans. The BBC must be kicking themselves... if they haven't already, they will be soon! Giving up on a show 3 days after it's first airing was a ridiculous move on their behalf.
Lesley Bee Posted November 25, 2008 Report Posted November 25, 2008 Yay, three cheers for Miranda What on earth is Tracy playing at now, do we think she has really lost her memory or is it another part of her game? I just don't know what to believe any more
Martin Posted November 25, 2008 Report Posted November 25, 2008 Best ratings yet last night in Australia...now up to 477,000 and more importantly it won its timeslot. Thats excellent ratings for its timeslot. Hopefully if people start to see it doing well more and more will tune in to see what all the fuss is about. I really hope the ratings stay high, we in the UK know that the show does get better as the weeks go by so hopefully OOTB will turn out to be a real ratings success!
Mrs Bishop Posted November 25, 2008 Report Posted November 25, 2008 We will all have to keep our fingers crossed and any thing else we can think of but really you have to give a programe a chance something the BBC is short of but I hope they are kicking them selves now.
Miranda Posted November 26, 2008 Report Posted November 26, 2008 Yes, it was nice of Five to reply to me and show that they have actually read my email. I think as a new channel, they seem to be much more interested in their viewers and their comments. Unlike another channel I could mention, but I won't because I am always going on about how crap they are I so so hope they make another series of OOTB. Apart from anything else, it would be good for the actors, who must be in limbo I thought it was obvious that Tracy and Jarrod would come to grief the way they were running through the surf laughing etc. It was so obviously the calm before the storm, or the happiness before the horror.
