Miranda Posted August 10, 2008 Report Posted August 10, 2008 Well, that's good in one way, bad in another
Lesley Bee Posted August 11, 2008 Report Posted August 11, 2008 An extra two days of waiting Why don't all of us OOBies stick our necks on the line, so to speak, and say who we think is the killer? The person who's right (if anyone is) gets nothing more than the feeling of smug satisfaction Anyway i'm going to say TESS
Mrs Bishop Posted August 11, 2008 Report Posted August 11, 2008 I have a funny feeling its not a woman I think thats a red herring. MY guess Daniel Macmanus.
Lesley Bee Posted August 11, 2008 Report Posted August 11, 2008 Tess I think as well. Hmmm interesting, two votes for Tess, she is proving to be popular
irish_angel Posted August 11, 2008 Report Posted August 11, 2008 As i already know who the Killer is i won't vote.... It's killing me not to be able to say, i'm rubbish with keeping quiet about stuff like this.

Miranda Posted August 11, 2008 Report Posted August 11, 2008 I think its Jarrod or Bec. If I had to guess out of them, I'd say.... Jarrod. But then again, it could be Gaby I think the LEAST likely person is Ron [but it'll probably turn out to be him ]. Irish Angel, pleeeeeeeeeease don't tell us who it is! I know that I'll be at such a loose end once the Olympics finish, that I shall enjoy looking forward to the OOB revelation Also, we'd better keep the name of the killer in spoilers. If we don't, it'll ruin it for anyone who is just starting to watch OOB.

You can always tell me if you want, i'm desperate to know If you really, really want to know and won't be kicking yourself for finding out before the big reveal then i'll be happy to PM you the name of the Killer. I would suggest waiting though as the build up to it is great.
Miranda Posted August 11, 2008 Report Posted August 11, 2008 This is what I wrote to the BBC about our beloved OOTB: Dear BBC Can you tell me when Out of the Blue will be back on BBC television after the Olympic Games? I have heard rumours that it isn't coming back. If this is the case, I think you will receive many complaints from fans, because the identity of the murderer [who killed an important character in the first week, and so set up the main premise of the series] is about to be revealed. If the series is not going to be continued, please can you let me know where I can view it? It is an excellent series and deserves to be shown. Thank you This is their reply [he obviously hasn't read my question probably, because I was asking about whether it will be back after the Olympic games- I already know it won't be back after the first series ] Thanks for your e-mail about 'Out of the Blue'. I understand you're concerned with the news that this series isn't being re-commissioned as you feel some of the character's ongoing storylines haven't been resolved. I can confirm that 'Out of the Blue' won't continue after the current series which is airing on BBC Two. This was confirmed by Jane Tranter, Director of BBC Fiction, during a recent Royal Television Society event. In answering your question of continuing to watch the programme, I hope that you'll be able to watch it elsewhere in another capacity, another channel or a DVD; though I couldn't confirm what that might be right now. It's important to note that the programme was only ever commissioned for a run of 130 episodes and any question over whether it would continue beyond that was always going to depend on how it played out with the audience - as is the case with any series. It initially attracted approximately 1.2m viewers on BBC One. Since its move to BBC Two it has averaged around 125,000 viewers. I do appreciate that as a fan you'll find this disappointing. Therefore, please be assured that I've registered your e-mail on our audience log. This is a daily report of audience feedback that is circulated to many BBC staff, including channel controllers and other senior managers. The audience logs are seen as important documents that can help shape decisions about future programming and content. In the meantime, you can read more about the programme at its website: http://www.bbc.co.uk/drama/outoftheblue/ Thanks again for contacting the BBC. Regards Danny BBC Information
