Don Fisher's recent return!!

His return was a bit pointless, nothing was acheieved or gained by it. I did, however, like the scene with Don, Morag and Alf in Summer Bay House on the night he left. I will be horrified if Marilyn dies from her cancer, she is a H&A legend and although it's unlikely she will return in the near future, never say never.

I felt let down by his return too. I felt a bit like a past pupil in that I really wanted Cassie etc to see what a good teacher he really was and for all the new fans to appreciate what a well rounded character and great actor he was. I don't think the writers did him justice though, I thought it was cute that he was so desperate to see Marilyn but I did think they assassingated his character for the purpose of giving Cassie a reason to get with Henk. I hate it when they bring the old characters back to destroy them or kill them off; Chloe, Alex... it makes me dread the past characters returning.

I'll never forgive them for Chloe. They brought her back, making us believe she had a future in the show then she just died so horribley. And there were so many other pointless characters in that episode they could have killed. I agree that new viewers now wont have understood the real Donald which is shame. We got 15 great years from him which was in turn destroyed in six weeks. They should have just brought him back for a couple of days for the wedding and left it at that.

I thought the whole story of him not knowing how to use technology was very stupid. He only left in 2003 and most of those things were around in his time like the computers etc. He didn't even know how to use powerpoint, that program has been around for years, and when you're a teacher you're likely to use it often. The writters made him an old dumb airhead that was living in the past.

Exactly and in fact he was seen a few times using a computer, like when he wrote up his Letter to Byron using the school laptop for Coleen to wipe the material on the Floppy Disk. So that didn't really fit for me...

I have only watched his return in the form of clips online, so tell me, has he gone? What was the conclusion to him and June, him and Marilyn and him and his finances?? I was a little disppointed, he is great and it was great to see him back but apart from some funny scenes it seemed a little flat... Despite that, on a personal level it was good to see him in the show again.

don was an absolute h&a legend-i was so upset for him with the way he was portrayed, what was it for? to show that he no longer had it in him to be a teacher, show him desperate for attention and basically being completely needy...they destroyed a rock in a that time! shocking! i hated the way that cassie especially was so disrespectful towards him! was really sad.

it'd be like sally leaving and then bringing her back for a few episodes to make a joke of her...blasphemous!

Fisher was being slightly unreasonable but Cassie did go a bit too overboard and it was very disrespectful and quite rude!
