Yay! I'm not alone :D , I absolutely detest them. I hate the fact that their relationship has taken up such a huge amount of screen time from day one. I hate the fact that Martha is always at the fore front of everything. I hate the fact that because of the amount of screentime devoted to them other characters are ignored, characters such as Irene, Leah etc, who happen to be much better actors than these two. I hate the fact that they're used as a publicity cow, flaunted at every oppurtunity to appease a group of fans sucked in by all the hype generated by the network. And I don't agree that they were 'meant to be'- their marriage lasted less than five minutes, breaking up because of Martha's self-centered selfishness, she loved him so much that she left him for his best mate, while his life hung in the balance. Yes that's love for you  . I actually think that Jack is a little more interesting on his own than as part of J/M, but as for Martha, I dislike her just as much on her own. Personally I think that Seven came up with this brilliant idea to get two fairly goodlooking new characters, get them together, hype them up and flog them for everything they could get. I can't see any real chemistry between them as a couple. I mean Shane and Angel you just knew were meant to be, you really believed in how much they loved each other and really sensed the chemistry between them, same with K/K, or Will and Gypsy, or Noah and Hayley, but with these two I just can't see it. In fact the more they're hyped but, the more I tend to hate them.

You and me both!

Could not agree more! It is getting very tedious.

That is so true, it's an absolute travesty that others are passed over in favour of these two woodentops.

The sad thing is that the group of fans have fallen for it hook line and sinker, and continue to do so. The sooner they get rid of this nauseatingly dull and uninspiring duo the happier this viewer will be and the sooner my fast forward button can have a rest.

The longer this hype goes on the more I detest them

They are a nightmare. I like fiesty strong minded women, but Martha is a cow where Jack is concerned. At least Sam tries to meet Jack half way and they have a more balanced relationship. With Martha it's all me me me. She is Dani Sutherland mark two. I have never liked them. Jack can do better. Martha may be a looker, but where Jack is concerned she is more high maintenance than Matilda is with Ric and that is saying something. All this will they wont they is insulting my intelligence as a viewer. I wish they would get over it. It makes the Scott Hayley and Kim goings on look like fantastic drama by comparison. I thought they were boring, but this is sleep inducing. In fact they could flog it as a good cure for insomnia.

o___O?

I can see where Martha's high maintenance, but Sam's definitely not any better. At least with Martha, Jack was allowed to blame her sometimes when things went wrong. With Sam, he's only ever allowed to blame himself, because Sam can do no wrong.

Admittedly I'm watching at uk pace so I may be missing something, but I'd say Martha is just as bad as Sam, probably more so. With Sam there are two issues - her protectiveness over Rory and her jealousy of Martha, both of which are completely understandable in my book. True, she goes a bit psycho every now and then and is often too hard on Jack, but you can see why a lot of the time. Whereas with Martha it's just a case of her constantly wanting her own way. I dread to think what she'd be like if she had real problems and responsibilities.

I absolotuely agree I hate Jack and Martha!!!! :angry2: They are by far the worst couple in the show's history, and the amount of attention they receive is ridiculous. I have always been a fan of the "golden" or "power" couples on the show, e.g. Shane and Angel, Selina and Steven, Chloe and Lachie, Will and Gypsy, Peta and Edward, Hayley and Noah, Robbie and Tasha. They all seemed perfect for eachother, and if they ever had relationship probelms I always wanted them to sort it out and be happy. With J&M I just don't see any sort of chemistry, I find both actors completely hopeless, and I fail to see why they should ever be together. Jack should have remained single when he first joined the show, and then maybe started a relationship with an older woman, for example Rachel, and I always thought Martha would have been better suited to Kim, at least for a little while ( always wanted Kim to be with Kit anyway). Jacka and Martha have been separated for almost a year and a half now, and when they were married they were both completely miserable, they just don't work!!! Both actors' contracts are up in 2008, so hopefully they'll leave and put us out of our misery.

I'm totally anti Jack and Martha. :P I don't know what all the hype is about when it comes to these two characters. Many people put them up on a pedestal and are being promoted as this "super couple" but I just can't see that at all. To me they are not compatible at all as a couple, friends maybe but that's where it ends.

I've always liked the idea of Jack and Rachel, ever since he was having marital problems with Martha. Rachel is a mature woman and that's what Jack needs in his life. They are both in professions that deal with the public and very often their paths do cross. I wish that Sam had never gotten involved with Jack in the first place so that when Rachel's marriage broke down it was Jack that could be her shoulder to cry on. He cares very deeply for Rachel and he also respects her. I'm glad that they are again living in the same household - every bit of screen time helps in the "Jachel" addiction that I have.

I didn't mind Hugh and Rachel though as they had good urst and chemistry together. I also like seeing scenes with Tony and Rachel - if there's no Jack and Rachel then Tony and Rachel would be the next best thing. Jack might wake up and see what he has been missing out on.

I can't stand all this "to-ing" and "fro-ing" between these two characters. Enough already! Please let those script writers once and for all end this craziness that is Jack and Martha. After a while it just gets monotonous trying to piece together a puzzle that clearly doesn't fit together anymore - move on and just be happy.

Jack and Rachel... here we come!!

I used to love them to death, right up until Sam came back and turned Jack into a lying spineless pansy and slaughtered his sense of humour and personality. Thats when I started thinking, why would I want Martha with that? And then Michael came along wearing white robes and a halo because he looks like a saint compared to Martha's other boyfriends (and Martha for that matter) and all of a sudden I realised, why would I like Jack and Martha and want them back together when I hate Jack, and somehow end up going whenever Michael is on screen?

So to cut a long story short, no, i dont like Jack and Martha anymore, I'm now a shameless m&m shipper. However, if Jack and Martha getting back together would rid us of Jack's little guard dog girlfriend and her dweeb son, loosing m&m is a sacrifice i'm willing to make.

Bascially you love JM but you are concentrating on MM till Sam and Rory disappear. Thats how it seems, not saying it is true, its just how it seems..
