Is Martha given too much air time?

^^Yes I agree with you, a few months ago it was all about Leanne/Paul/Liam/Carla, a while before that it was concentrated purely on the Barlows with the Tracy mudering Charlie storyline, recently there's been the Peacocks' storyline's with Casey and Clare/Ashley's marriage breakdown. Then it moved on to the Platts, with David, Sarah etc. It basically rotates around all the character's, and no one character is specifically singled out for big storylines. Whereas with Home and Away Martha seems to have a major storyline every couple of weeks. From her and JJack getting married, to the plane crash, their marriage breakdown, her relationship with Ash, the abortion, the pole dancing, getting trapped in a burning building, her relationship and feelings for Jack, Sam returning, the flat sharing with Mattie, and now all this stuff in Australia etc. She hardly seems to be out of the storylines! Compare that with the likes of Dan, Leah, Alf, Colleen and Irene- when was the last time any of them had a decent storyline, or even anything to do other than talk to people, serve food, and clear tables?

Martha is the most over rated character ever. It annoys me that they give her so many story lines at the expense of actors who are far better that she is, i.e all the others, and that they push the myth that its all about being pretty. When Home And Away started they were determined they were going to have ordinary looking kids and were not going to get sucked into the usual soap and media glitzy image driven thing. They sold out and it sucks.

I dont watch any where near as much as I used to but when ever I switch on there she is, you cant escape her her vice like grip. Its scary.

She gets every where, even Sam's wedding  . They are not very fair in how they share out stories and I don't like that. They need to be fair to every one. It would be nice if one of the less pretty ones got a really big story for a change.

Apparently they are trying to make Martha the new Sally. As much as I like Martha I have seen enough of her. She seems to be the only one getting all the big storylines which is unfair to the other cast/ characters.

To call Martha 'the new Sally' is an insult to Kate Ritchie. Kate is an experienced actress who's spent the best part of her life developing a character, whereas Jodi is a model who was hired because she looks nice. It's true that her acting is improving, but only because the entire show is devoted to her! Plus there's the fact that Martha is a self-obsessed bimbo, while Sally is pretty much a saint. So no contest there then. :P

There is no way that Martha could step into Sally's shoes, in fact no one could, Sally is one in a million.

I think Leah could do it. Obviously it wouldn't be the same, as Sally had the link to Pippa (senior) so it was always kind of special for her to be carrying on where Pippa left off, but if anyone is going to fill the role I think Leah is the best candidate.

^ Yes i guess if anyone was going to take over from Sally, Leah would be the obvious choice, she does have a lot of the same qualities as Sally and she is long overdue a decent storyline.

Absolutely!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Martha is the most annoying bimbo ever, she gives bimbos a bad name, and to even put her in the same bracket as Sally is insulting. Martha needs to go.
