What does everyone think of them?

For those that are thinking 'What?'

Im talking about the one of them talking about what is going on in the show to do with their character,in their character form.

Mark talking as Ric about what is going on with Mattie..What he feels about what is going on.

There have been a few with Sally,Martha and I think Alf.

Personally,Im not a fan..

I just think it is straining the character,it doesnt flow.

I thought it would only last a few episodes, but they seem to be coming on more and more, the start and end of Five's episode and the start of Five Life's episode(I don't watch it after the credits finish)

What does everyone else think?

Does anyone know how long they are going on for..Did they record them when the characters were in the UK or are they recorded over there?

I don't mind them doing the voice overs - but it was a bit strange when Ric's one included a spoiler for the next episode.

This was when Mattie had just returned to the bay with Cassie - the episode ended with her walking in to the house but before she said anything. But Ric's voice over promptly told us that she had returned to move in with him!

I never noticed that.. lol

They just annoy me,it doesnt seem like the character..When watching the show I don't see the actor,I see the character.

But when hearing the voices like that,I don't 'see' the character,I just 'see' the actor acting as their character.

Dont like the voice overs at all at the end of the episode!

Mark gave the storyline away at the end of an episode this week, when it was meant to be for the next episode!

I think its just awful to have them talk about what happening over the credits! Very unprofessional!

I think it would be better if five got sevens promos at the end of each episode instead of getting the actors to talk about thieir characters - that would be much better!

I would like promo's aswell.

They had the one with Holly acting as Amanda during the whole Kelli/Amanda thing..And Sally and the boys lost at sea..Which continued to show even after that episode had been shown and the boys were safe.

I didn't like those either because of Amanda/Holly talking about what is going on with Kelli when Amanda in the show had no clue.

The Sally one was better, but still I would prefer cuts from the next episode,or that week..

It's great that Five are actually doing things though.

I'm sooo glad you started this thread, Reo! I am not a big fan of the voice-over thingos <_<. It all just seems really forced and fake and is a bit...off putting I guess. I love the interviews they put on after sometimes, they're great. The voice-overs before the show starts and during the ending credits are not good though :P.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'd love to see the end credits go all the way through without being interupted by the Five people or the actors and actresses speaking over them :P . I think it was the week before last, that they did play all the way through and I actually felt so excited, it was quite sad .

The promos being shown would be cool. I like the promos that Five Life do for the specials that are on sometimes. The ratings might even go up if people have an idea of what's coming next :D.

We don't get them during the episode...that would be awful with a capital A!! We usually get them before, during and after the end credits . Someone else brought this up somewhere, but weren't the voice-overs on Five Life really really annoying at one stage?! For those of you who don't live in the UK,...there were these two people who used to go on and on and on about...nothing. It was ridiculous. I actually had to laugh at one point to stop myself chucking something at the telly . What's wrong with ''And next here on Five, Home and Away''?! Instead we get, ''And there's more drama in Summer Bay tonight as so and so do whatever and blah blah happens to so and so...oh my word.... I have a cold, that's why i'm being so critical...I always moan whenever I have a cold! :P

I liked the advert they have done for the Horror specials, but I think they should of added more to it from the different episodes they are going to show.

The boat one with good aswell with Sally, although Im sure they showed it again after they had been found lol

I also like the interviews they are doing,Irene,Ric and Alf I have seen so far..Hopefully they will do more.

They do seem to be putting alot of effort into the show and getting it advertised in whatever way they can..But get rid of the voice overs lol

I remember two women talking before the Five Life episode,I wrote about it on here including being annoyed by the sized of the Five Life logo.

But those women would just go on and on and on and talking about Dawson's Creek that is on after H&A..Whoever thought that was a good idea, was wrong.

I like little idents and things before a show, but not two women just going on and on about something.

I do not like these voice overs at all. They ruin any tension that may have happened in the cliffhanger and seem to state the obvious just in case us intelligent viewers don't get it. To me, the actors saying them don't seem all that convinced either. I dont know whether it was an error and the wrong VO was played but in the ep where Matlida returns to Ric at the end - Mark Furze mentions moving in together in the Voice over - this wasn't mentioned until the next ep and so totally spoiled things!

In contrast, I do like the interview snippets after the credits. At least they are natural, entertaining, interesting and you find out stuff you may not otherwise know.

As far as I'm concerned let the credits play with nothing over them and no idents either - I would actually like to read the credits.

If they have to to idents why cant they do them in the big space where the seaside images are like they do when shown in Oz and keep the fullsize credits at the bottom - otherwise they are far too small to read! I would like to know who wrote and directed the eps and sometimes I like to know actors names - especially if I think i've seen them in something else - yes I'm SAD like that!
