Give Irene a decent storyline!

Well as Barry is in prison I cant see that happening but I do think the scripwriters should get there head together and xcome yp with a strong decent story line where Irene can be happy. when you think of the life shes had she now too need some T.L.C.

Just because Barry is in prison does not mean he can not come back. The writers can find ways for that to happen - for example as in this scene http://backtothebay.net/features/scriptcom...ontmindme.shtml

It just takes a bit of imagination and creativity.

He could get out on a good behaviour bond or something. It wasn't like both the murders were direct where he went out of his way to kill them.

The one with Josh was self defence and the other with Kerry he just lashed out because she killed Charlie and was trying to kill Kim, he could have pleaded insanity on that one...

Either way, I would look right passed it if Barry had to come back, just when I began to like him and things were going well with Irene, he upped and left.

Actually Morag got the charges reduced from Murder to manslaughter and that's why he was let out on bail, and manslaughter carries a lighter sentence.

I agree entirely. Josh was self defense and he could have got a very light sentence for that one. Again with Kerry he could have got a lightish sentence because he was protecting his children. He pleaded guilty and would have got brownie points for that. Morag was on his case so she would have something up her sleeve to help him as well. Like Drew I was liking Barry and was sorry he left, so I would be more than happy to see him back. If the writers put their minds to it they could come up with something which was easily believable and we would see a bit more Irene as well.

From today's episode reviews, I thought I would register the fact that so many people love Irene. iI have also seen loads of "Irene rocks" and "Irene is awesome" posts on other forums today as well.

Great smackdowns tonight! Irene yelling at Kirsty, Miles yelling at Kirsty- and my favourite- Jai yelling at Colleen! Loved that one in particular! Kirsty has really screwed up this time!

I'm glad Irene told Kirsty off. Go Irene. She was the highlight of the evening.

I always had a idea not unlike Kerry Hyde's link, where i thought the possibility that Kerry could be alive, and this was by the time he'd left.

I wondered what if when Barry walked into that bathromm and pushed her to stop her, did he kill her or was she unconsious and he was in a state of shock, he managed to call his sister.

I dont know why but i thought what if she felt she was alive and revived her still unconcious but told Baz to look after kim, she then just got Kerry to get out after she'd recovered and stay away.

she'd come to summerbay as someone else and barry would turn up in the suf club with Kim and they'd all be shocked to see him esp Irene, and unbenown to her he's here to seetle old goast so to speak.

As for Josh i cant see a way around that much apart from self defence.

I may sound daft but im always hoping, i want to see Irene get a storyline for herself but really the last was'nt about her personaliy but it was about kk.

It would not be easy for the writers to come up with a way for Kerry still being alive, but it is possible and could be done so as to be totally convincing and to fit with existing story lines; and it is also possible for the sentence in respect of Josh to be completely set aside and for Barry to be completely exonerated. I can think of several ways that could be achieved. Theoretically Barry could return an innocent man, but somehow I do not see him as a total innocent in either of these situations, there would have to be a twist somewhere, a twist which allows his flaws to remain and to be built upon, and albeit one which would still allows him to return of course.

Irene was due to be given another story before the end of this year, and we only have few weeks left. I hope that out burst with Kirsty, good though it was to watch, wasn't it! It wold be nice if she had something which took her well into the new year.

It has NEVER been established that Barry is in prison, last time he was mentioned he was still awaiting trial.He killed two people by accident;one in self-defence(he pulled a gun on him!), the other while protecting his son(she was trying to drown him).He could easily have got away with a suspended sentence for those.That's what I'm assuming until presented with evidence to the contrary.
