sunray Posted May 4, 2008 Report Posted May 4, 2008 I'm really looking forward to Irene's new storylines. She is so overdue some serious screen time. They have dragged back just about every Fletcher kid they could over the last few years, how about Irene catching up with some of her own kids, or foster kids again? I really wish they hadn't killed Chloe off, would have loved to see her move back to the bay and renew her relationship with Irene - but still, there are plenty of other kids to bring back, even if they had to recast. I'd also like to see Irene battle her alcoholism again, we all remember how her personality changed when she was drinking... might make her recovery very interesting. Whatever it is, bring on the Irene time!

Irene gets a significant storyline in around 4 weeks time (in Oz), which keeps her going for a while, and then another one towards the end of the year. I've been told that Lynne is quite philosophical about her role in the show, and rather likes being the stable central pillar that supports the stories of the kids around her, as opposed to expecting a load of Irene centered storylines. However the powers that be do agree with you, there needs to be a bit more in the future By my calculations, Irene's big story starts any time now. :D

alexx Posted May 23, 2008 Report Posted May 23, 2008 I'm not sure why people are saying this is Irene's storyline, she's definitely doing something, rather than having no purpose at all, but she's just more involved, like she used to be.

She is heavily involved yes, but its not like she's just there in the storyline. Everything that happens in it will definately relate to her and effect her. Lol its hard to talk about this without mentioning what it is! Can't wait for tonights episode!
Frankie Posted May 30, 2008 Report Posted May 30, 2008 Well she is the permanent cast member who is so far affected by this story line, the other main characters in it are guests.... so to all intents and purposes its her story line .... .... its been good so far... they are building it up nicely... taking their time over it... too many pesky promos though .... Irene and Oliver are fantastic.
