Give Irene a decent storyline!

Irene gets a significant storyline in around 4 weeks time (in Oz), which keeps her going for a while, and then another one towards the end of the year.

I've been told that Lynne is quite philosophical about her role in the show, and rather likes being the stable central pillar that supports the stories of the kids around her, as opposed to expecting a load of Irene centered storylines.

However the powers that be do agree with you, there needs to be a bit more in the future

That is excellent news Dan, thank you, and thank you to the all seeing person as well Of course we are hoping that Barry figures in there as well you know, as I said before, we never give up.

It is very reassuring to know that the powers that be share our view that there needs to be more focus on Irene in the future, and I hope that they keep her as the stable central pillar as well as give her something gritty and exciting to do. I shall be watching out for the upcoming story with interest.

You know, I don't think I have ever heard you say anything positive about any one. I think cynic must be your middle name.

I love Irene, and think she does a great job as the central pillar or what ever they call it, I would rather have that and her any day than a constant stream of Martha and Jack centered stories.

I think it's great that Irene is getting a storyline, I'd love to see her in a relationship again. I never really got the feeling of her and Barry being together, so a storyline more like the one with Paris is what I'd like to see.

I dont know. I think it was Oscar Wilde who said "What is a cynic? A man who knows the price of everything and the value of nothing."

I think Irene is great value, and they know it. Its about time we saw a bit more of her though and this is good news.

I think it's great that Irene is getting a storyline, I'd love to see her in a relationship again. I never really got the feeling of her and Barry being together, so a storyline more like the one with Paris is what I'd like to see.

Paris was hot, but was awfully stuffy about stuff for such a young guy. What they had was OK for a fling, but was never going to last the distance. Irene and Barry had a real deep connection. I thought they were great together, if Ivar Kants had stuck around they should have kept them together. I don't want to see her in another doomed relationship, its been done too often, and I don't want to see her with Alf either(shudders at thought), what I'd like is some sort of challenge that shows off Lynne's talents and also Irene's qualities, the ones we all love; the fighter, the one who will move heaven and earth for her kids, or maybe she faces a personal challenge, something happens to her, like an illness or an accident, and being the independent so and so she is she wouldn't like being a burden on others. It would still be nice if Baz came back though.

Wow this is great news, a storyline for Irene was long overdue, and now we're getting 2! Making up for the neglect in 2007 then, whatever, this is awesome news.
