Are they blind, indifferent, stupid, or so intent upon pushing the story lines of hot young things that they forget that they have fantastic, and in my opinion far better, actors and actresses and confine them to the wings? It is not just criminal, it's insanely wasteful and downright stupid if you ask me.

moonpie Posted April 12, 2008 Report Posted April 12, 2008 I agree she is very underused. Like many of you are saying, she's on the show but she's in the background, at the diner. I think they need to do more with her than just having her serving burgers and talking with Roman and Colleen. Lynn is a great actress, she plays the part of Irene so well, why not utilise her skills and give her a major storyline. I think she is well liked by a lot of people, its not like people don't want to see any more of her

Irene gets a significant storyline in around 4 weeks time (in Oz), which keeps her going for a while, and then another one towards the end of the year. I've been told that Lynne is quite philosophical about her role in the show, and rather likes being the stable central pillar that supports the stories of the kids around her, as opposed to expecting a load of Irene centered storylines. However the powers that be do agree with you, there needs to be a bit more in the future
