I liked Martha and Jack to begin with (before they ridiculously got married after dating for five seconds), but I think their relationship has been well and truly ruined. There's no way them getting back together could ever be credible now, because the reasons for their split will still be there. They broke up because they were both too immature and selfish for marriage, so unless they do a lot of growing up and Jack gives up being a policeman they don't stand a chance long term. Martha in particular has a very selfish streak and wants everything her own way all the time, which isn't exactly helpful in a marriage. I do like Sam and Jack together, it seems like a more equal and grown-up relationship, but I don't see it working as long as Martha's around.

I think Jack should be with Martha as everytime they are together there is a spark! They have great chemistry, and suit each other perfectly! Plus they look much better together than Jack and Sam!

I agree Jack and Martha from day one have had a great chemistry..but if the writers were to leave them together after the wedding they would have got boring so by breaking them up they have really had a great story line....will they won't they.....hopefully they will as there is no spark between Sam and Jack, he is only with her because of Rory and giving her a safe haven, as he knows she won't leave him!!!

Jack and Marts forever!!

Yeah couldn't have siad it better about Jack and Sam being together!! I dont think that there is anyting special between them!!! The writers should realise the Jack and Martha belong together!!!!!

Jack and Martha, they deserve each other.

Yeah they sure do!!!

I thought I already commented on this

Oh well :P

Jack and Martha all the way :D

Jack and Sam are passionless and just plain boring!

Well, Sams boring, and she brings out the worst in Jack <_<

She makes him dull and lose his cheeky/fun appeal that I love so much

Go away Sam!

Martha's the best for Jack!

I can’t understand what Jack sees in Sam. She’s boring, annoying and in the way.

She takes thing the wrong way and gets involved in stuff that is none of her business! <_<

Martha can be stupid too some times, but Martha and Jack have so much more chemistry than Jack and Sam, since they have none.

Jack and Martha forever!

I totally disagree. People can and do change and learn from past mistakes. Just b/c J and M split over the work thing and were too immature for marriage (which they totally were) doesn't mean it will always be that way. Indeed during their councelling session Matha herself admitted she was too harsh on Jack and inflexible. I believe she has matured a lot and if they were to ever get together again I certainly don't believe Jack has to give up his job for them to work.

The trouble with Martha is that she admits her mistakes, says she's learned from them, but then goes and does them all over again...

I see what you mean, but the fact that they came so close to getting back together before Sam came back and it still didn't work out makes me think they're just not meant to be. The same problems come up over and over again - they don't communicate with each other, they're both very stubborn, Jack is thoughtless and Martha is selfish and stroppy. I appreciate that people can change and mature, but to change fundamental parts of your personality is an extremely difficult thing to do. Like Emmasi said, it's one thing to acknowledge your faults and another to actually correct them. I can't imagine Martha ever being able to stop herself from jumping down Jack's throat every five minutes - it's just who she is.
