Pets in the Bay?

Has anyone else noticed that none of the characters in H&A have any pets? I guess the Campbells will have cattle etc with them being farmers but no one has any cats, dogs etc. Would anyone else love to see animals in the series?

And didn't Sally have one, when she was younger? And Scott had a Horse, though I'm not sure if it was his.

I read in an interview that one of the reasons there aren't any pets in the Bay is because it's difficult to have them on set. If you think of it, they have to be fed, they have to sleep and in the case of a dog, they need to go outside sometimes . I can understand why they don't have many animals, it could get pretty crazy on set, if there were animals roaming around everywhere!

^ . Quite a few of the cast have animals of one sort or another. Indi has a cat, Jodi has a dog, Sharni has a dog...well I could go on . If any of the characters could have a pet, which character would you like it to be? I think a cat would really suit Mattie .

Yeah, Mattie's very Cat-like. But she's a bit of a Female Dog, if you get my drift.

I think Belle needs a huge aggressive Wolfhound or something like that. Called... Bob. Martha needs this big fat fluffy white cat Called Snowball

And Sally needs a Parrot. Called Buntie

Good topic, never crossed my mind that there is no pets. There just isn't any need for them thats the thing, would be great to see for example Martha walking something or other down the beach but there is just no point!!! And us viewers would only start hating a character because of the amount of times they just leave the dog for days without an explanation of what it is doing, it's a bit like little Pippa, haha!
