Where is Sally's child?

Has anyone else noticed how we haven't seen much of sally with her child?

how unrealistic is that?

Being only a small child and of little use or relevance to most stories, Sally's child (Pippa Jnr) is rarely seen.

You do see her sometimes, however, so you can't claim she is forgotten about or ignored. And she is often mentioned by Sally too.

There are strict guidelines on how much a young child can work, so that cuts down on the scenes that any of the Summer Bay kids can appear in unfortunately. Hence why you'll usually only see them for a couple of episodes at a time before disappearing for a while, scenes of which can be completed in one go.

Of course another way of getting around it, which most TV shows utilise, is to use twins - this will enable the on-screen children to be in a few more scenes...but still not as much as what would be deemed 'realistic'.

H&A uses twins (or just various babies) a fair bit when the child is still extremely young, however the 2 current kids that play VJ & Pippa (Cooper Scott and Chloe Marshall) now play the roles on their own.

don't it think its unrealistic for sally not to have her child with her in scenes?

The character of sally is not the the of person that would dump pippa on anyone, its just too unrealistic, thats all.

after all she is a mother, and we can't forget about that!

Me and my friends were always like 'Where's Pippa!?' and when ever she was on the show we would be like ''OMG!! PIPPA MADE AN APPEARANCE!!'' Lol but after reading this I understand more why...Its kinda funny how she is always at Madges!!

I'm placing this in spoiler tags, it isn't spoilerish as it wasn't a key seen or anything but it is from aus episode yet to air elsewhere.

I believe the last time we saw Pipa was when she was painting using "mummy's" special paper.

The same could be said about VJ though too. They just include them and mention their names as much as they can.

anyway its not like sally to dump her child on other people, i remember the storyline of cassie's friend being abused by her mother and her boyfriend, and sally said to the mother, 'if your kids don't come first then you don't deserve to be amother to something' thats a bit hypercritical for sally don't you think?

No, just because we don’t see her doesn’t mean Sally doesn’t spend every scene we don’t see Sally, with Pippa. As mentioned before, with the kids you’ve just got to make allowances, they do the best they can, and mention her near on every other scene, what else can they do when the kids are contracted legally to only feature in a certain amount of episodes/scenes? I’m sure as she gets older, she will become a permanent cast member in the credits...etc
