Well...if we are being pedantic.. perhaps "wrongly convicted" would be more appropriate.... although technically he was guilty as he allowed his Dad access to his business and by doing so had to accept responsibility for his actions... thats the law.. I think. :P

Leah used to be such a bubbly, funny and quirky back when she first arrived and into 2002, then she became serious and at times morbid, especially during early 2004. Why was this?

Her husband was falsely imprisoned and was then 'killed' in a fire just after she'd given birth to their first child, who later turned out to be deaf and nearly died on the operating table! I think that's enough to put anyone in a bad mood. :P

haha, yeah I know...actually that’s what I used to say a lot on forums back in 2003 when everyone was complaining about how Leah had become a bit mundane compared to her former self. But now I look back and think about it from a writers point of view, and if they had stuck to her original character (and she wasn’t 18 anyway, she was in her early 20's), she would have handled all the crap that happened to her a bit differently maybe. Or maybe its just that they decided to only ever focus on her serious side and left out all the fun bits we saw in Leah at first, and that’s what was missing, as it was she seemed to jsut change.

False imprisonment is a tort, and possibly a crime, wherein a person is intentionally confined without legal authority.

Blimey, I wish I'd never said anything now! Yes, fine, technically you're right. But I'm sure everyone knew what I meant - or everyone except you Ryan. :P

But character's do change and so do actresses. Besides i still think Leah is fun and bubbly..just more mature. and the Leah/Dan relationship is still quite fun ..similar to the Leah/Vinnie relationship. Although i think that Vinnie was an easily offended sensitive character whereas Dan's a bit more of a standard "nice bloke" if u know what i mean. I get a bit annoyed when people call Leah a whinger because she really isn't!

I don't see Leah as a "whinger" really, but at the same time, she most certainly isn't the same girl she was when she first arrived in the Bay. However, I don't think that she should be. As a character, she has developed according to her age and her experiences and IMO, Ada has done an excellent job in portraying this.

Totally agree. It would be great to see her drunk again, though. :P
