Ryan Posted August 27, 2007 Report Posted August 27, 2007 I think the thing was that at the time they weren't sure whether Leah would renew her contract. If you look at Vinnie's sentence, 18 months, that's approximately what was left of Leah's probably 3 year contract when that was filmed.

I don't know if I'd want him to anyway...I would have killed for a Leah/Vinnie reunion not so long ago, but I like Leah and Dan too. They're not a 'golden couple' like L/V but they're good together, and it would be horrible to see her break Dan's heart.

Foxy Posted September 19, 2007 Report Posted September 19, 2007 Today I caught up with some Five Life eps and also wached some current eps....and the change in Leah is dramatic. Back in 2001, she seemed like sucha focal point of the show....indeed, since I've started watching the early years barely a week has gone past without a "Leah drama"....although it never feels like too much is happening to her, or that she's over exposed which is how I feel some of the current younger cast are used. The character seems to have completely transformed from a fun and lively young woman to....well....a pretty downtrodden character who is only on hand to sort other people's issues. I really think its time they tried to inject some fun back in Leah, and quick!

When watching the Five Life episodes, it's really quite obvious that Leah (the bubbly, energetic, fun and most of the time just completey mad character) has changed into this really underused character and also Ada as an actress I think, is being underused. 2007 has been a tragic year for Leah...nothing has really happened to her. Things have obviously happened around her, like with Drew and then when Alex came back. It sounds terrible, but when Leah was off in Greece sorting out all the stuff with Alex, I didn't actually realise she was gone until she came back. When she came back I was thinking...''oh, Leah. Oh yeah, Leah...Dan's wife...I remember you now'' . It's really disspointing to see. Leah and Dan's marraige breakdown was incredibly well done by both Ada and Tim and I can't help but think that the only hope for Leah is for that to happen again. Either that or another storyline. There are loads of storylines which I think Ada could tackle well. Let's just hope we see Leah given a storyline this year! ...
