I've been watching H&A since the very first episode (althou I do drift away from time to time)

But I can recall from the early days that the charactor of Lyn was written out with the knowledge that it was storyline related and that she would reappear ... but after she had left the canvas, it was decided not to bring her back (so she ended up staying reunited with her natural parents)

Not saying I'm right - but I seem to recall this from that time

I liked how there was a reference to her during the 1st cast reunion for Sally's Wedding, when Carly asked Pippa if she ever heard from her ... Pippa said 'No'

Maybe if they have a big Reunion for the 20th Anniversary, they could try and get her back

Isn't there an article on the website regarding Max's leave? I remember reading an interview that some of the characters had to go and Bevan Lee wasn't a big fan of his character. It's a shame, I really liked Maximus and I would have loved to see him grow into an older teenager.

I'm guessing Henry was axed as he just seem to be totally cut out of it now, it seems they regret bringing him into it.

I've read an interview with Michael Berkley and he said that he was told along with three other people that they were being dropped. (Don't know if it were an axing or whether it was a non-renewal of contract). That may mean Rhys, Max and Noah, but I can't for the life of me think who the fourth may be, seeing as I think Dani left of her own accord.

Lynn was dropped because they thought their was too many kids to focus on in the early storylines. I think Helena Bozich dropped out of the industry and most probably has a "normal" job now.

As regards, Josie, Laurie was signed on a 14 month contract which lasted just under 12 months because Dan B thought that the character had nowhere to go. It was him that wrote her into that corner however.

Regarding Henry, Toby Atkins wanted to concentrate on his studies. It softened the blow slightly for the viewers that his character was ****e.

I have a feeling that a few characters around the 2000 region may have been axed to makeway for the Sutherlands. I've heard Anthony Phelan wanted to leave after landing a part of Star Wars, but there were many short-term main characters during that period.

Coral said something that they wanted to kill off someone the audience cared about in the Olympic cliffhanger, instead of us returning and finding it was, say Peter, who at the time was a cop who had been in the show for 30 episodes.
