celtgirl Posted June 18, 2007 Report Posted June 18, 2007 When Martha first came to the bay, she worked as an electrician. Does anybody know why this is never mentioned anymore? Was is just a plot device in her getting together with Jack? She never even seemed to consider it when she wasn't happy working in Noah's bar anymore. I love Home and Away and have watched it from the first episode, but it's little details like this being completely forgotten that really annoys me.
Ryan Posted June 18, 2007 Report Posted June 18, 2007 I think she had started an apprenticeship when she was on the farm, I'm not sure she was a fully-qualified electrician.
Drew Posted June 18, 2007 Report Posted June 18, 2007 That was the same with Alex when he first arrived. He was an electrician, then all of a sudden he started working at the Diner... But I think there some some family dramas to why he stopped... But they never mention it anymore.
Cal Posted June 18, 2007 Report Posted June 18, 2007 I think it was mentioned a few months ago.... but there wasn't a big deal over it, it was only in conversation.
Ryan Posted June 18, 2007 Report Posted June 18, 2007 As I said on one of the BayCAst's, there are certain occupations you need on a TV and electrcian isn't really one of them, as you either have to make it look like he's had no calls or constantly repairing the same houses.
caitrules Posted June 18, 2007 Report Posted June 18, 2007 Very true. It seems you only need cops, doctors and diner workers in Summer Bay.
Perry Posted June 18, 2007 Report Posted June 18, 2007 And Managing Caravan Parks... Oh Wait who does that?
Daisyap Posted June 19, 2007 Report Posted June 19, 2007 And lifeguards! Although we don't see any of them these days either.
