I'll try my best to pop in once in a while... PART 33 “Where are they?” Chris looks at the doctor with a serious frown and he puts his hand on Chris’ shoulder reassuringly. “Kate is okay to go home. Noah… is still in ICU, but he’s stable.” “Thank you…” Jodi stands up, tears flowing over her cheeks. “Noah… can we see him?” “Of course. Mr. Sadrinna… we need to get that burn wound on your arm checked out. If you could just follow me, please?” Jodi and Paul look at Chris gratefully. “Chris… thank you. For going back for him.” Chris smiles. “What else could I have done? Leaving him there… it’s unimaginable.” Jodi wipes tears out of her eyes. “Nevertheless… what you did… it was amazing. Thanks, Chris.” “Anytime. Excuse me…” He follows the doctor quietly while Paul and Jodi follow the nurse to Noah’s room. Jon bites his lip, looking at the other nurse seriously. “Can I see Kate?” “Sure, sir. Follow me.” Kate looks up when Jon enters her room, smiling gratefully. She holds out her hand to him, tears forming in her eyes. “You saved my life…” “Hey… don’t mention it.” She shakes her head. “How can I not mention it? I… was lying there… thinking that I wasn’t going to make it and then suddenly you were there… I don’t know how I can ever thank you.” Jon wipes a strand of hair out of her face with a grin. “You’re my friend. How could I not go in?” “Still. Thank you, Jon. So… are you okay?” “I’m fine.” “How about Chris? And Noah?” “Chris is okay, except for a few burns on his arm. Noah… he’s in ICU… but he’s going to be okay.” Jodi presses her face against Paul’s chest, her body shaking with sobs. “I can’t stand it… seeing him like this…” Paul wraps his arms around Jodi, his eyes fixated on Noah. “He’s going to be okay, Jodz. He’s a little fighter… you told me that, remember?” Jodi nods, still shaking, and Paul looks at her seriously. “He’ll be all right.” Jodi nods again, looking at Noah over her shoulder. “He just… he looks so small… lying there… I can’t… what if…” “Jodi, if you start with what ifs, you’re never going to stop. It’s happened, but he’ll be okay. Promise me you’ll believe that!” “I promise…” “Auntie Amy…” Amy looks up from her book when she hears Ava speaking softly next to her. “Yeah?” Ava bites her lip before climbing onto the bed, hugging Amy closely. “Thank you.” “What for?” “Today. For holding me and everything.” Amy strokes over Ava’s head with a small smile. “Anytime.” Ava bites her lip and sighs. “My mommy doesn’t want me to like you. But I really do.” “Well that makes me very happy, Ava. To hear that you like me. Because I like you too.” Ava smiles and looks at Amy seriously. “Sorry for slapping you.” “I forgive you.” “I love you Auntie Amy.” “Hey.” Chris looks at Kate with a smile and she grins. “Hey. Do you come here often?” He nods mockingly. “Nowadays I’m here a lot.” Kate suddenly looks serious. “I’m sick of hospitals. I’m finished for now. At least I hope so. Did the police say anything about how the fire started?” Chris shakes his head. “It’s a mystery. It looks like the curtains in the spare room caught fire and it spread from there. But how it started… they have no idea.” “And you?” Chris bites his lip. “I have a feeling that Carol is behind it…” “Carol? But she’s in America.” “I know… but you getting shot and Michele calling to tell me that she wants to kill you… and then suddenly our house is on fire. It’s a bit of a coincidence.” “I see what you mean. Did you tell the police?” “Not yet.” “Chris! Why not?” “I want to talk to her first.” Kate grabs his hand, looking scared. “Don’t. Please just go to the police.” Chris shakes his hand. “I can’t. I need to know what’s going on in her head, Kate.”

I missed your fics Kyle Poor Jodi and Paul, I hate seeing them so upset, I hope Noahs ok And why does Chris have to take matters into his own hands, why cant he just let the police deal with it like Kate said! Typical guy lol I hope your able to update soon Ps, please can you update Cut before you leave
