The reason I say that is because they have been through so much together and have always been there for one another in 'times of crisis'. Her and Luc were cute together but I think Ric and Mattie are more suited to each other. Their relationship has been explored alot more than Luc and Mattie's was, and that might be why I prefer them together. They seem to have more layers than Luc and Mattie did, if that makes sense . When Lucas and Mattie had a fight they would either argue or break-up whereas when her and Ric have a 'barney', they seem to talk about and sort out their problems. So thats my opinion...Ric and Matilda all the way!!

Originally, I preferred the Ric/Cassie pairing and would have loved for them to stay together but, thinking about it, and looking back at past episodes, Ric and Matilda's relationship has had some of the best development ever on the show. They did try going out casually early 2005 but that didn't work - Matilda just needed to grow up and now she has. Ric has always been there for her anyway - during the Callan saga for example. I agree that Matilda and Lucas have been written like brother and sister recently. It almost seems to me that they only brought in Lucas simply to pair Matilda up with someone while Ric and Cassie were together. If you disregard the fact that they dated, Lucas really seems just like an incarnation of Henry...

I did think that they shared chemistry and believe that to this day. Ric and Mattie On the other hand, Ric and Mattie are perfect. They share great chemistry, have a great relationship and are close. Ric loves Mattie and would do anthything for her. Ric and Matiie sort their problems out and clearly have a lot of respect for each other. They clearly love each other. So in reply, I think Ric and Mattie are best suited and I hope that they stay together!
Aquamarine Posted June 18, 2007 Report Posted June 18, 2007 I must admit, I really wanted to see a Max and Matilda relationship back in 2004. I have to agree with Jen, I hate Matilda, and I think both Ric and Lucas can find better (Hopefully they can find better in eachother? ). I prefered her with Lucas though, they were cute in their time together, and from the moment they laid eyes on eachother you knew they would end up together....just a shame it didn't last.
