Once again Home And Away has been crowned most popular Australian Drama at the logies. So i though i would start up Our own little Logie Awards Category.

(this is for May 06- may 07)

Category One: Best Storyline in Most Popular Australian Drama

The Nominees Are:

***Stalker Returns***- Evil Eve returns to the bay for her finale act of revenge and takes every one hostage at Jack and Martha's wedding, leading to an explosive conclusion.

***Horror Chopper Crash***- Robbie, Kit , Martha, Belle and Kim Lost in the bush for weeks after their Helicopter crashed following the wedding explosion. Kim And Kit sleep together.

***New Love For Sally***- Sally falls for summer bay newcomer brad , her first lover after the tragic loss of her husband.

***Sally Stabbed***- The Season Finale of 2006 ended with the horrific stabbing of our favorite resident.

***Martha's down hill spiral***- After a series of events Martha went from little miss sunshine to little miss vixen.

Being manipulated by Cam and lied to by Ash , Martha ended up pole dancing at the local sleexe bar.

***Amanda Destroyed***- When Amanda's sister came to town , Amanda had no idea of her real intentions, to destroy her as revenge for a car accident the pair were in years ago. Evil sister Kelli Kidnapped Belle,

Turned Amanda into an alchoholic , Nearly let Ryan Drown , Destroyed the relationship and wedding of Peter and Amanda. Drugged Amanda and nearly had her killed in a terrible car smash.

Category Two: Best Actress in Most Popular Australian Drama. (Home and Away).

Jodi Gordan (martha)

Indianna Evans (matilda)

Holly Brissley (Amanda)

Category Three: Best Actor in Most Popular Australian Drama. (Home and Away)

I think I will vote for the Amanda storyline. We are in the middle of it here in the UK and I am loving it at the minute. I love the fact that Amanda who was always such a *itch and so hated in the bay has now started to be accepted. And just at this point Kelli comes back and reaps revenge.

Six months to a year ago who would have believed that we would have any sympathy for Amanda but Holly has played her so well that we do now feel sorry for her as her world crashes around her. I know some people feel this story goes on too long and I may feel the same when it climaxes here but that is partly what makes it so good. It's long and painful for us too.

Some points on other stories mentioned:

Stalker - Great storyline, death of Peter I loved this while it was happening.

Crash - Good storyline the effects of which we are feeling now with Kit and the baby. One of the story lines which made me hate Jack & Martha though. We are supposed to believe they are soul mates and he is making eyes at another woman about 2 days after his wedding!!

New love for Sally - It doesn't help that they keep talking about Flynn. Brad will never match up to Flynn in my eyes.

Sally stabbed - Still seeing the after effects of this here as Ric is still in prison. I was disappointed when this happened as I was waiting for the flash backs of Sally in the Bay and it wasn't shown here.

Martha's downhill Spiral - Makes me want to scream!! Her ending the marriage to Jack because of his job but continuing with Ash when she found he was married is just inconsistant and enfuriating and this highlights the problems with the writing that occurs in H&A. They just totally chnage someones character to fit the storyline. We DO notice this you know.

Just a note. A lot of these storys haven't aired outside of Oz yet so should this topic not be in Austrailain discussion??

I see no reason why this topic can't be in this section although as already pointed out you may get a fairer response in the Australian section where people have seen all these storylines play out. As far as I'm aware this isn't an Official Back to the Bay poll but when we run them we do tend to let them run in this section and just put anything containing spoilers for UK and Ireland viewers in spoiler tags.

Sally stabbed, Kate Ritchie and Mark Furze. I think Ray Meagher is a better actor but he hasnt had many storylines and I think Mark has shone this year.
