Our TV downstairs would not find the five channels, Bid TV & Sky Three at first. We tried it when the weather was calmer and we now have all the channels.

I am extremly excited however i cant feel slightly gutted that it doesn't start the reruns from the early 90's because thats where the gap is in my knowledge or even the mid-late 90s as this was the show at its best!!! I know five dont have the rights - it is a shame though!! Still very excited though!!

Will five ever be able to acquire the rights? It would be fantastic to see the Shannon/Selina/Chloe era again...that and the Sutho era are my faves. Classic H&A!

Downunder tv have got the rights to show the first episode of home and away and the early 90s episodes.

All these years later I can still remember how ep2840 finished and ended ITVs run.

Peta & Edward have been arguing with Judith about Peta moving into Edward's room.

Re Ailsa's death it will never look the same to me now after it was in the montage on ep4000, as it was set comically to the loud part of the original theme and right on the beat!

Storyline wise they did try to lay something down by having Shauna find Ailsa was her mother and then discover her herditary heart problem, then Ailsa not having the time to have herself checked. But it never quite worked really.

Oh come on, that was awful. I would have actually preferred the heart attack to come out of nowhere instead of enduring that rubbish. We are supposed to believe Ailsa lived for 50 years without so much as a heart murmer, then the very week she finds out there is a history of heart conditions in her family, she collapses and dies? As if.

Later, Joel and Gypsy move out of the Ross House and into the Nash family home, but Joel still has some ghosts he needs to put to rest.

Summer Bay welcomes the arrival of a new family - the Sutherlands. The twins, Kirsty and Jade, are excited about their move but elder sister Dani is less than impressed. Meanwhile, Shauna, Harry and Leah become concerned about Sally when she locks herself in the bathroom. Later, Vinnie thinks he has struck gold with Martin.

Sally is determined to get her life in order, but she can't stop manically washing her hands. Duncan and Nick feel guilty about causing Jade's asthma attack. Elsewhere, Vinnie quits his job as a lifeguard on the strength of Martin's job offer. Later, Mitch opens the doors to the drop-in centre but soon lives to regret it.

Martin's secret is out - Ailsa knows he is not a millionaire and suggests a way that he can let Vinnie down gently. Meanwhile, Alf visits Rhys and an unlikely friendship begins to form. Edward's moods are becoming increasingly erratic, leading Judith to suggest that Peta move out. Peta is infuriated - she will stick by her husband through his illness. Elsewhere, Shauna realises that Sally is suffering from Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and Will discovers that Sandy is behind the recent spate of break-ins.

Episode 2860

Edward watches the video of his father repeatedly and realises that he must make the most of the time he has left. As Judith watches the same video, she mourns the loss of Edward Snr. Elsewhere, Will takes a big risk in order to protect Sandy.

So it looks like they are going in order, and also showing Sally's nonwedding twice!
