Maybe she does have more eggs but the question is who will have baby for her I'm sure I can remember somewhere in the storyline that Pippa was Sally and Flynn's last chance because there were no more eggs after that attempt. They'd need to rehash the surrogacy storyline if they decided to re-write history and claim that Sally still had frozen eggs anyway, and I'm not sure they'd want to have Sally repeat that storyline...?

Leah just carried Pippa, it was Sally's egg. So no, Leah has no rights to Pippa at all, they just used her body as a place to put her for 9 months. Sally is Pippa's real mother.

There's an interesting article here that outlines how women/couples in NSW who use a surrogate, even if the surrogate has no biological ties, have to go through the legal action of adopting their child back from the surrogate parents. Unless Sally and Leah went through an official adoption, which they may have done as part of the surrogacy then Leah is seen as the legal mother and Dan (even if he had nothing to do with it) is the legal father. We know that Leah can't have any more kids and she was devastated by that so it could make for a good future storyline.
halfpint Posted May 4, 2007 Report Posted May 4, 2007 Dan was not married to Leah at the time therefore it would be unlikely that he would be considered legally as Pippa's father. I seem to remember a comment made in passing on the show that Flynn was named on the birth certificate as Pippa's father and that Flynn and Sally applied to "adopt' Pippa so Sally would legally become Pippa's mother.
bodwod Posted May 4, 2007 Report Posted May 4, 2007 I'd find it hard to believe that they would have gone through the whole surrogacy thing and not finalise it with the adoption paperwork. I didn't realise Dan and Leah weren't together at the time. Even if she was in a defacto relationship at the time (I have no idea, I didn't watch then) that person would be named as the legal father according to the article I linked.
