Characters you didn't like....until they were gone.

Have you ever changed your opinion about a past character even after they left? This has happened to me more than once. Usually with characters that weren't on the show for long. At first, I wasn't a fan of Mitch McColl (I don't know why, maybe because I was a big Sam fan). After he left at the end of 2001, I really missed him. He was a great character with so much potential, and a good friend/boyfriend to Hayley. It's a shame he didn't stay on for long, but I'm glad he is still involved in H&A so there is always a chance for Mitch to return as a guest. Charlotte I was never keen on, but I really started to like her towards the end and after she died. She could have done much better than Jude I think. I still don't see why the writers killed her off, she was about to leave anyway. Perhaps my biggest change in opinion was with Max Sutherland. He was just...there during the time he was a character. After he left, I really missed him, he was a little cutie and made me laugh at times and I loved his friendship with Colleen. He is the reason I like Colleen a lot right now. I recorded a lot of episodes from that time, and after re-watching them, Max has become one of my favorite characters. He was so different than any other kid in the show, and if you paid attention to him, he was quite funny.

Kit Hunter. When Kit first arrived in the Bay I saw her for about a week before I went to Australia on a year long visa. At the time Australia were about six months ahead so when I got there Kit was a reformed character. She had a really big fanbase but I never saw the attraction as I hadnt seen her character developing. I love her now though and would love for her to move back full time.

I really disliked Tasha and Robbie. I thought both were useless and rarly watched them whilst they were on screen. But, now they are gone, I miss them.

Noah. I never hated him, I just wasn't that interested in him. Then he died, and started wearing black, and I didn't want him to leave. But he did

I know there's been others, as I remember referring to my liking for them close to or after their demise as "the Noah Syndrome," but I can't think who they were. Hm.

Tasha and Robbie - They were there (even if they weren't doing much) and then they were gone and that's when I realised I miss them being there (even if they weren't doing much).

Oh, and Hayley (Ella's version) deserves mention. I was always like..."A new character? Oh wait, that's the new Hayley..." when I saw her. It took me awhile to get used to seeing her in place of Rebecca Cartwright (who I really liked), but she was a good actress. When she left, I did miss her.

I have to say Shauna. I loved her when she was with Harry, but in her last year or so i went completely off her and even more so when she returned to get back with Jude, yet when she was gone i did miss her as i thought she still had potential. I can't say i missed Jude that much though.
