Why does Drew call Belle Taylor?

Is that her surname? I read somewhere that she was called Susan Taylor. Where does the Susan bit come into it?

Belles legal name is Susan ...but she likes the name Belle and prefers that ,,,tTylor is her surname.

No, once again he calls her Taylor because that's her last name, and only he calls her that, so it's a private nickname, I guess you could call it.

Yeah they call each other by their surnames. It's their "thing". It's much more tolerable than the dreaded "babe" that certain characters way overuse.

now you mention it, I always thought the 'babe' was bareable but now I find to think it quite annoying. Taylor and Curtis are much more tolerable

For those of you who think it's strange to call someone by their last name, I bet it happens more then you realise. It's usually a guy thing though but it happened when I was playing footy and it's happening again at work... A common nickname is to take the last name and add an O or a Y at the end "Jonesy" or "Jacko" but we can't really have 'TAYLO' or 'CURTY' though because it just sounds weird. I think its a good thing that Belle and Drew call each other by their last names, it shows they've got a close mateship.

They call each other by the surnames,, not very strange or odd to me at all. When my hubby annoys me i call him ' oi Rees' and the other way around, he calls me by my maiden name' Bevan. Even though they say it on home and away, as terms of friendship, and closness. So do we, and we have been married for nearly 13 years.
