Who is your favourite ever character and why?

Probably obvious but it has to be Dani Sutherland. I liked her the moment she arrived because she had attitude with the wild hair and dog collar, she stood out from all the other teens who were already on the show as they all seemed very passive and similar to each other. She was the right mix of naughty but nice and when she was raped you saw the vulnerability of her that made her all the more endearing. She was a good well rounded character with depth and a heart of gold. I miss her.

I think i have to say Matilda. I've always liked her ever since i saw her in 2004. She was kind to Eric when nobody else was, Indiana did the bulimia storyline PERFECT and she has always been so natural. Well she's not been so natural in 2007 and ive started liking Belle much more now but Matilda is a true favorite.

Dan Baker is my favorite character as he is hot,very sexy,thoughtful,charming,funny,caring,very kind & he also looks out for others!

Kane Phillips was a fantastic character. He had so many layers and caused so much controversy on the show, controversy which, to judge by the posts you'll occasionally still see on BTTB, is still ongoing, some two years after he left. And he was played superbly by Sam Atwell who made him very, very believable, particularly in the early Kane stories.

My favourite Character is Tasha Andrews. I love her because i think she is unique. There's no way other soaps could copy her character and pull it off, it just wouldn't translate. Tasha is sweet, naive, vulnerble, strong, courageous and original.

I love the fact that we've been able to see not only Tasha's growth, but Isabel's as well. They both seem to have grown up on the show, even though Tasha wasn't there for a long amount of time. Tasha's involvement in stories, like The Believers, wouldn't work that well on other characters, as there'd be no reason for them to get involved other than a complete change of character, whereas with Tasha, given her personal history, it just helped to move her character on, whilst looking back to her past.

In my *humble * opinon, Tasha was quite an underrated character, but as the Channel 7 site says: 'She arrived suddenly, and left suddenly, but her gentle ways stole everybody's heart' xxx

Sally. If, I'm honest, I can't actually give one simple reason for it. There's just something about her. She's like the original summer bay resident. Yes, she's definetly my favourite EVER!

Vinnie/The V-Man: he was the type of guy that I would describe as an "all-in-one", hilarious, sensitive, caring, friendly, good looking, entertaining, one-of-a-kind...the list goes on!!!

I don't think anyone else could have pulled of wearing those Hawaaian shirts the way he did.

He was a unique character to Home and Away and yes there are other characters in the show that are also unique, but Vinnie was in a league of his own; I don't recall there being anyone like that before him, and there hasn't been anyone like that since him, and I don't think there will be.

So I think I would say Tasha. She is so amazing, and no one is alike her.. She is something special, and I think I kinda admire that..

My favourite character is Matilda. I think she is a brilliant character and agree with everything rockagirl said about her. Although I can't see myself ever liking Belle more than her. I just don't rate Belle very much.
