They played it on TV3 today at about 12.55. I'd never seen the whole version and it was so sad! Especially when Flynn came on... I was almost in tears. I hope they play it again soon! I can't believe i missed that. Was that 12.55 in the morning or afternoon? I hope they play it again soon. If you watch the NZ Official Top 40 on C4 on Sunday morning they might play it again. I think Light Surrounding You is at Number 39 in the chart this week.

ste Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 I emailed Seven and asked them was the Sally montage being sent to other countries or was it just for Oz and this is what I got back; I don't think they would have had copyright clearance on the music to play it around the world, however you can see it on the website. "A Tribute To Sally". I don't understand this. I mean what about the music that plays in every episode in every surf club and diner scene? Couldn't they just have got the same permission for the song as they do for all the others?

In NZ at the moment they are playing the Sally montage video probably only because Evermore is a NZ band. I think i have seen it played about 3 times already this week.
ter06 Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 I watched the episode again and the credits dont start until after the montage so surely it's a part of the episode. And in the e mail she said "I dont think..." so hopefully she might have just being guessing and guessed wrong.
Ross Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 Hopefully five will see what a great part of the show the montage is, and they will do everything they can to play it! Like Ste said, there is music played in the Diner every episode, so surely there's a way they could get rights for this. I would have thought it would be a good thing for Evermore as well, as I'd imagine many people would want to know more about them and the song.
