I don't like J&M. I've admitted that.

But I won't bash the fans (like I used to ) because I know how much it hurts to have a favourite ship be torn apart. You guys are lucky though.

At least your favourite ship actually got together. Noah and Kit never did and I still mourn that loss.

I want to see Martha and Jack on their own for a while, just to see if I begin liking the characters.

Now i dont want to start an argument here, afterall youre entitled to your own opinion. But when have JnM fans ever tried to force others to like them!?

There are separate threads for where we go to talk JnM and those who dont like them dont have to go on there, so id just like to know how you can justify that?

As for you saying Jnm fans see them as the only ones in the show, yet again id have to disagree. I cant speak for everyone else (obviously) but just because we talk about them doesnt mean we dont apreciate all the other characters and notice that their actually there.

Anyway, like i said i dont want to argue, and you are entitled to your own opinion, but i just wanted to comment on the fact that there appears to be a missed conception about JnM fans and on most parts it is not true.

I can't believe Jack and Martha won!

I'm not a fan of theirs, but I'm not about to attack those people who like them, I just can't believe they are that popular, as in my opinion, they totally lack any form of substance. Other couples like Sally and Flynn, Leah and Vinnie etc. would have done anything for eachother, but Jack and Martha broke up when things got tough (and things weren't exactly tough, they just like to whine!). The characters were quite likeable on their own and they were entertaining when they were just getting together, but once they were a couple, and especially once they got married, they were just dull. This is just my opinion (though it is shared by a lot of other people, clearly), but I just can't understand why they are so popular.

I think the difference between Sally & Flynn and Jack & Martha is that the next time this poll is carried out, Sally & Flynn will still be in the top 5, whereas I doubt Jack and Martha will be, because their love for eachother never really seemed very strong or very believable, they had their initial spark and lust, but after that it all just seemed to fizzle out and we got to see just how fickle and shallow they really are as a couple.

Funnily enough, I think that if we did a poll of the most hated couples, Jack and Martha would win that too, because whilst half the board members love them, the other half probably hate them. Each to their own I suppose, I just fail to see what all the fuss is about with them, there have been so many great couples on the show, couples that have stood the test of time and still rank highly after not being on screen for 10 years, whereas Jack and Martha are a "flavour of the month" kind of couple, I think. I don't think people are stupid or anything for liking them, I just don't personally see the attraction.
