Chapter Eight

Jack we have to do something” Martha said the next morning while Nicole was sleeping peacefully between them having no idea that pretty soon she may be taken away from her mummy and daddy.

“Ano we will call Laura this morning” he said to her, gently rubbing her arm.

“Ok then, but where do you think this leaves us” she asked quietly as she stared down at Nicole.

Back at Beth’s house

“Hey how did you sleep” Beth asked Kit

“Fine, better than I have this last month anyway” Kit replied smiling sympathetically towards her mother.

“Where’s Tony?” Kit asked her mum, noticing that the house was quiet more quiet than usual.

“Oh him and Luc have gone to the diner for breakie” Beth said, smiling to cover her pain.

“I heard you two arguing last night” Kit said

“Oh don’t worry about me and Tony sweet, we need to concentrate on getting Nicole back to you” Beth smiled and rested her hands on Kits shoulders giving them a squeeze.

“No her names Lucy after gran” Kit said

“I love it” Beth smiled

Back at Martha and Jack house

Jack had just got off the phone to Laura

“Well apparently Kit legally has 6 months to change her mind” Jack said

“Oh god no” Martha said beginning to break down

“But Laura said, well she didn't say it, if anyone asks but she said if we disappear there will be nothing they can do” Jack said

“Jack we can’t its kidnapping” Martha said it dawned on her.

“Do you want to lose her Martha do you, because I sure as hell don’t” Jack yelled at her. He was beginning to let this buisness get to him. As soon as thos words had left his mouth, he imediatly regretted it after noticing the hurt on Marthas face. they were both hurting but was she taking it out on him? no.

“Don’t yell at me it’s not my fault” Martha said as she sobbed again

Jack ran over and hugged her tightly as she just sobbed into his shirt

“Ano im sorry” Jack said as he stroked her hair and kissed the top of her head.

Jack and Martha needed to decide what to do as they where running out of options.

“We could persuade Kit to leave her with us, we could tell her she could visit whenever she wanted” Martha said to Jack while Nicole lay in his arms looking up at her daddy, the daddy if anyone would try to take her off him she would cry until they returned her to him the daddy she had formed a close bond with.

Tony walked in to his and Beth house

“Tony we need to talk” Beth said to him

“No we don’t” he said simply

“Yes we do” Beth said stubbornly

“Ok what about oh lets see the fact that your alcoholic daughter is trying to destroy my son and daughter in laws lives and take away their daughter” Tony said and with that walked out leaving Beth standing there stunned.

Kit heard all of this and in way she did not even feel a little bit sorry for Martha and Jack anymore because all that mattered to her was getting her child back even it meant breaking more peoples heart than she could ever have imagined possible before long the whole of summer bay would hate her for taking a child away from the towns golden couple who have longed for a child.

Great chapter Becky :)

that was good how Jack suggested they disappear! Kit is being such a cow. I like the tension between Tony and Beth! One of them is cruising for a bruising!

Great two chapters Becky! For some reason i didnt read the previous one, i must have missed it when you put it up.

Anyway, I really dont like Kit or Beth in this fic, you cant just hand over a kid to someone else and then just happen to change your mind after theyve gotten attached to it! Thats just not fair!

Looking forward to the next chapter :)
