Chapter Twelve

Four months later

Martha had just received a life changing phone call and her and Jack had no idea what to do. If they went back to the bay, Kit could try and take Nicole away but then again their families needed them. What were they going to do.

Six hours later

Martha and Jack sat next to each other hand in hand they had agreed on going back to the bay but only if Becky would mind Nicole there was no way Martha was risking Nicole being taken away from her and Jack.

At the hospital

“Dad” Jack said as he and Martha came into Tony's view.

“Jack, Martha” Tony said as he wrapped the pair in a warm embrace

“What’s going on” Martha asked sadly

“Well love, Luc is going to be ok but Ric well there still not sure if he will wake up” Tony said sadly.

“Oh god no” she cried “Can I see him” she asked

“Yeah Maddies in there with him” Tony said

“Come on Ric wake up for me please” Matilda was practically begging him to wake up when felt a warm hand being placed on her shoulder she span round

“Oh my god Martha” she sobbed as Martha gave her a hug and tried to sooth her.

“What happened” Martha asked Maddie

“Well he and Luc were coming to pick me and Belle up and well some weirdo ran them off the road and it turned out that some drink driver was speeding” she said

Maddie had left to go home and shower and get some sleep while Martha was sitting beside Ric's bed when an unwelcome visitor came in

“Well look what the cats dragged in” Kit said to Martha in a bitchy tone.

“Oh look it the alcoholic mother who gave her daughter away and is now trying to claim her back” she said sarcastically

“Where is she?” Kit asked her

“Where’s who” Martha said knowing fully well who she was on about, but there was no way she was going to tell her.

“My daughter” Kit said in a firm tone.

“Your daughter? why the hell would I know were your daughter is, however my daughter is somewhere safe where you will never find her” Martha said spitefully

Jack was in Lucs room talking to him when her then heard the two girls in the next room.

“I’ll be right back” Jack said and rushed out the room

“Where is she Martha im giving you one last chance to tell me” Kit said as she pointed a scalpel at Martha

“I’m not telling you” Martha shouted back at her “I would rather die than tell you”

“Well then I have no other option” and with that Kit ran towards Martha and pushed the scalpel into Martha’s stomach just as Jack walked in he rushed towards Martha who fell into his arm bleeding heavily Kit just ran away from the scene of the crime leaving a terrified Jack screaming for help.

Three days later

“Jack I want Nicole and Becky here” she said weakly “I want to see her before I die” she added

“But Martha your not going anywhere” he tried to reassure her but was failing miserably as he knew that Martha was becoming weaker and weaker by the day so he agreed.

Jack went off to ring Becky

“Hey Bec it’s me” Jack said sadly

“Hey is everything ok” Becky asked worriedly

“Erm well no not really its Martha” he said as the tears were threatening to fall.

“Oh my god Jack what’s happened just tell me now” Becky said starting to become hysterical Martha was like a mum to Martha even though there was only like 5 years difference.

“She’s been stabbed, by Kit” Jack said sadly “So we need you and Nicole to come over As soon as possible don’t worry bout the flight ill pay just please both of you come I need you two more than ever” He said sadly over the past four months Becky and Jack had become so close there even had a brother and sister bond.

Meanwhile Jack had gone back into Marthas room.

“They will be here tomorrow afternoon, he said to Martha softly

“Thank you, I love you so much yano” she told him, raising a hand to smooth it across his face while there eyes were locked, speaking their love to each other without words.

“I love you too, you and Nic are my life that’s why you need to get better Martha I can’t live without you” Jack said before letting the tears falls, as Martha brushed them away with her hand, fighting back the urge to cry herself but she had to be strong for him; the love of her life but she just could and she started to tell Jack her fears about not getting to see Nicole grow up this just broke his heart and the two of them lay there sobbing to each other in each others arms.

Full of suspense! Can't believe Kit would actualy stab her, what a selfish cow. Hope she gets whats comin' to her; the sooner the better.
