Slade Posted November 25, 2008 Report Posted November 25, 2008 Well I guess we know what Sylar meant when he made that remark to Elle the other day (just before he was about to kill her and she blasted him with enough electricity to power a small town) about her being responsible for his carnage. It is worth noting how upset Elle was with Mr Bennett as she felt that Sylar could have been saved but then a few months later on in season two, she killed someone in cold blood without showing a single ounce of remorse. So Claire’s got another uncle - Flint. I wonder how long it’s going to be before she finds out. Wait a minute she doesn’t know about Sylar yet. It’s interesting how both brother and sister have firestarting abilities and Papa Petrelli, Peter and Sylar can all take people’s power but Claire doesn’t seem to have inherited a single one of these. I wonder why that guy (I don’t know his name) decided to let Claire’s mum go but the company decided to imprison her brother when they eventually found him. The deal was agent or detainee. Oh and finally it seems as though Linderman is not the head-huncho we thought he was. He is actually a subordinate of Arthur Petrelli. He was clearly a player rather than a pawn though as he decided to let Mrs Peterlli know the truth about what happened to Nathan.
jenlee Posted November 26, 2008 Report Posted November 26, 2008 Tonights episode was awesome. I get that we are a bit behind you aussies but that's ok. I loved the banter between Sylar and Noah in the preview for next week. And I love that Adam is back. And I loved slightly evil Peter near the end
Pierced Musie Posted November 26, 2008 Report Posted November 26, 2008 ... Just to get things clear, what episode are you guys on? Because I don't know when to put spoilertags on my posts. Tonight in the UK we have Ep 9 airing on BBC2 and then Ep 10 on BBC3.
Slade Posted November 26, 2008 Report Posted November 26, 2008 When people mention spoilers are they specific to any country as such? We know with H & A the spoiler tags are targeted primarily for the UK audience but I’m not sure about other TV programs in general.
Pierced Musie Posted November 26, 2008 Report Posted November 26, 2008 Problem with Heroes is that spoilers tend to be pretty big. I think we should perhaps talk about characters but maybe not reveal anything big.
Slade Posted November 30, 2008 Report Posted November 30, 2008 What a good episode that was. I can’t believe I’m actually starting to like Sylar. After seeing him with his son in the future and seeing how he is actually trying to change I’ve quite warmed to him over the last few episodes. I really loved the stuff with Elle too. It seemed as though he actually wanted to help her, although I did find her reaction towards him quite unbelievable. He murdered her dad in cold blood so it seemed as though she warmed to him far too quickly. Just picking up on something Sylar said to Aurthur Petrelli when he told him he could take somebody’s power without killing by effectively empathising with the person. I recall Sylar saying that he didn’t think he was capable of feeling empathy then Mr P. revealed that he knew he was the one who saved Peter. However Sylar did empathise before this. A few episodes back when Sylar was working with Noah Bennett and they were after one of the escapees, they ran into Claire and he then saved her from being sucked into the vortex. I do recall him saying when he held her hand that he could feel her pain and he didn’t realise what he did had affected her so much. There was also his concern for Mrs P, when was injured. Even Peter could tell he was worried about her. I still can’t get my head around this whole pain thing. I’m assuming its emotional pain they feel as opposed to physical pain. Reason why I say that is because when Sylar took Claire’s power she said she could no longer feel physical pain but Sylar said he could feel her pain afterwards. Something else I’m wondering. In the future, we saw Sylar with his kid (and from what Sylar said, i.e. he has to remain strong for his son), presumably the mother is no longer around. We did see Elle and Sylar getting pretty close, and I don’t recall seeing Elle in the future, so it’s possible that she could be the mother and something happened to her - Just a theory. I loved the end of the episode where we effectively saw the two sides form – Good and Evil I would imagine. Something has to happen because Sylar turns good whereas Claire and Speedy Gonzalez (I keep forgetting her name) switch over to the dark side. So I can’t wait to see at which point they switch allegiances. That’s one of the things I love about Heros, they don’t imply something earlier on in the season then drag it out (*cough* Lost), the reveal things there and then. P.S. I people feel they don’t want to come her because of spoilers please let me know and I will start using spoiler tags from now on.
emmasi Posted December 5, 2008 Report Posted December 5, 2008 Not sure what we're allowed to talk about but... last night's Aus ep was amusing Matt and Sylar doing the little actions to their powers without anything happening was cute and embarrassing for them, hehehe. Hiro's fun
Formerly Known as FKAJ Posted December 5, 2008 Report Posted December 5, 2008 I've just bought and read the second volume of the on-line graphic novels - pretty good, but there's a few towards the end that I couldn't make sense of, mainly the ones about Linda Tavara. Hopefully the next volume will give a bit more information. I've also bought Volume 2 on DVD. Last night was amazing, one of the best cliffhangers the show has had. Can't wait for next week.
