Quite satisfying that blow up wasn't it. Mac being the voice of the audience 😂

I think Princess Tiny Tears was asking for it TBH.  I gave both my sisters away so you can imagine how it hits different.

(Spoilers for linear viewers.)

Aw man, poor Harper.

All the "I want to sleep with him" stuff gave us the lovely humour so often missing from Summer Bay romances these days so it was a real gut punch for him to do that.

Shame Roo is turning the department down, the show needs some fostering going on and especially in that house.

Not sure how I feel with more music storylines, but the cycle of "Bree c**kblocks Remi, Remi downs whisky, Remi becomes a flamin' galah, Bree feels guilty" I'm just so over it.

So it'll be an improvement I guess!

So the UK Cliffhanger that wasn't.

The Hypno session followed by the sting and Theo's running over all felt a little bit rushed; had contracts allowed I think the writers would have rather peppered the Lacey/Wendell sting across both episodes - I did the 5 & 5 Star episodes back to back tonight and it did feel like it would have worked better as a one hour episode, but the Lacey stuff didn't hit until tonight's 5 Star episode.  It just felt there wasn't much build up for what had been originally plotted as the UK/ROI Cliffhanger.

It irked me a little that the new session was done without David's knowledge or oversight.  You'd have thought he'd been across it but I assume Jeremy had used his 3 episodes up.

Also, for once Theo's fate wasn't explicitly revealed in the promo.

Epic UK non-return tonight.

Props to Sophea for a 5 star performance.  That's got to be hard to keep up for so many scenes, but her catatonic state was genuinely frightening.

Props to Ada too, Leah going through what's quite normal behaviour during the early stages of grief.

Wendell now has murder as well as manslaughter, causing death by dangerous driving, failing to stop at the scene of an accident and perverting the course of justice on his charge sheet.  I'd argue he also has attempted murder as his intention was to kill Lacey.  He knows he's looking at hard time; how far will he go to avoid prison?

The way Leah moved towards Alf for comfort when he walked in was lovely, it drew on all their history, him seeing her through so many life events from her marriage to Vinnie, his death, Dan’s death and now Theo and everything in between was perfect.

Theo now gone from the credits, with a stock shot of Barrenjoey Lighthouse taking his place.

I think that's everyone told about Theo now, although Cash & Eden don't yet know about the miscarriage.

The promo giving too much away again; David gets his man but that arm-on-neck thing does feel a bit George Floyd (the guy who died under similar Police restraint during the Pandemic, sparking the BLM movement.)  Will David risk everything and kill him?

Not sure if I'm allowed to post before the linear showing, but not a bad place to end in all honesty.

However, as a PSA you'll want to skip the promo if you don't want the cliffhanger to be instantly resolved.

Also a gentle heads-up that as usual there's no episode tomorrow night, nor is there an evening showing of 8600.
