Tamxxx Posted January 16, 2007 Report Posted January 16, 2007 Do you have to model first to get into Home and away, because Tammin sursok actually first joined with a modelling agency called chadwicks and then thats how she got into Home and away apparently, and her acting career , started of because of her modelling And then what about Jodie, kylie watson, and other older cast members I cant remember their names, but yeah its like 50% of home and away girls did modelling before hand, and then did acting afterwards?
TabbyCool Posted January 16, 2007 Report Posted January 16, 2007 Most people who want to get into acting probably sign up to modelling agencies as it provides a way of getting yourself out there and maybe getting onto TV ads and stuff like that, which could lead into acting if your face fits and the right people see you.

And then if thye want to act normally their agencies will help them switch over and so on...or I would assume anyways. It works a little different here in Canada so I'm not sure if its done the same over there.

I think it is quite a common succession, modelling to acting. Not a pre-requisite though.
Sam =) Posted January 21, 2007 Report Posted January 21, 2007 Well it all depends people like me are to short to model I did when I was little but I'm only about 1.60cm now and most of the teenage models are 1.70am or more. Once you join a agency they can get you modelling or acting jobs it really depends.
