dnp52td Posted January 14, 2007 Report Posted January 14, 2007 I have just found out that foxtel/austar & optus are developing a new channel called "The Australian channel!" so It sounds like all Australian content for the channel and hopefully will include old episodes of H&A!! I have been wanting an Australian channel for so long for our cable! I'm hoping they get the rights to all the old classic aussie soaps and game shows and sitcoms it's going to be great!

Chris J Posted January 15, 2007 Report Posted January 15, 2007 Hopefully this won't go the same way as the Australian channel that was meant to launch in the UK, showcasing the best television from down under. Unless I missed something during my major hiatus from the forum, that channel never happened. It would have probably had a hard time wrestling the Neighbours multichannel rights from UK Gold, but it would have been perfect for airing old episodes of Home and Away. I'd love to have had the chance to see some.

Drew Posted January 16, 2007 Report Posted January 16, 2007 I thought Hallmark was the Aussie channel? With UK shows thrown into the mix? I hope this is true! It would be great to see old H&A episodes again and too see other Aussie shows!
