Anyone else hate Beth?

I dont hate Beth, but she does annoy me and bore me. And she only thinks about herself. Im still peeved off at her about that Tony incident when she wanted to use Tony's money to go to Boston which Jack was lying in hospital, or was at home cant remember. She's selfish

She didn't say she wanted to go while Jack was in hospital, she said she wanted to go one day. She didn't say she wanted to use Tony's money to go to Boston. She suggested they go on holiday together. And when Tony said no, she accepted that.

I don't really like Beth but she has her moments and be used as a great character such as in Rhys' betrayal and with her father and her children. I think that the writers need to give her an interesting storyline for once.

I’ve written a lot about Beth in the past and my opinion of her. In 2003-2004 I really liked her, and Beth and Rhys’ break-up storyline was one of my favourites of the whole 2004 saga. I really liked how Clarissa portrayed Beth and how she was written – and I thought the guy who played Rhys was awesome (as he was when Shelly split up with him), and Clarissa was fantastic - I especially remember the end of a scene where she sits in SBH hallway (I think) crying transitioning to beach shots (?!) very vague - but my mum was teary and my dad said he thought it was acted real well... however I feel like the last couple of years, especially this year, or at least I have noticed it more and more this year, either she is written to be a bit selfish and blaze about people around her unless she is directly involved, or Clarissa House cant be bothered.

Bloom – I remember distinctly feeling like Beth should have been so much more there and connected to Matilda during those scenes, a normal mother would wouldn’t she? Things like that really make me confused about who she is, therefore it makes me care a lot less for her than I did during 04.

In regards to her facial expressions and Clarissa’s acting techniques, I really love it – she nails her dramatic and emotional scenes every time!

I dont hate beth but there are times when i find her really boring, cause of her recent stories. There have been times when she has been great and i do think that Clarissa is a brilliant actor. She does a great job with what she is given and i think she should be given more to do.

it was annoying when beth just sat there and dint care less when Matilda was looking at her burns. For goodness' sake, her daughter was terrified and her injuries were REALLY bad! I'd think beth would have been more suuportive

Are you talking about the hospital scene where the burns are first revealed?

I think it was a BIG scene for Matilda and hence Indiana and I don't think Clarissa wanted to intrude and steal her thunder. The way it was filmed, with the camera slowly zooming out from Matilda, there wasn't really much Clarissa could do without getting in the way of the shot. Actually, If you look carefully you actually see Clarissa move Indiana's arm as she can tell it's blocking the camera's view of the burns. Very considerate and helpful of her, I'd say.

I don't hate Beth as such, but I do hate some things she's done or allowed to happen to her children. Or that I've imagined that she's done or allowed to happen. Whatever.

I wasn’t specifically talking about that scene, more just in general during Matilda’s burn storyline…there just seemed to be a lack of support of something, cant pin point it. Maybe it felt more like how Beth would be to a good mate rather than her daughter.!?

When people say Beth is boring they forget shes only boring in your eyes because she isnt given any storylines of great action or use she is under used as is in the background as a family orientated character.

If she was given storylines full of edge of your seat drama opinions im sure would change. Clarissa is a great actress they just dont give her any useful storylines
