Ok did I miss something with these three?? Did they have an arguement or something? Its just they've gone from being best mates, to not even speaking at all!! I know Kim is pretty tied up with this Tara thing, but as far as I know he hasnt even checked to see if Tasha is ok, or the baby!! Are we suposed to just forget they were all best mates at one time, just because hes with an older lady. Does this mean Kim is to old for his friends now?? Sorry, its just I used to love the three of them hanging out together. They were so funny!! Even with the crash recently Kim and Robbie didnt seem that close. What does everyone else think??

Yeh they don't seem as close anymore, They do speak though. I remember a few weeks ago Robbie was sat in the diner and Kim walked in, but they did say 'catch ya later' or something when Kim was leaving. They've not hung out much since the whole Hayley thing really. I mean they had a few episodes around that time where they hung out whilst Robbie was trying to help Kim get through it, but after that they kind of drifted apart. Roobie got caught up in the whole Tasha/believers stuff and Kim got wrapped up in the Rachel/Hayley/Baby Noah storyline.

*Cracks fingers. Clears throat.*

It's all Martha's fault.

1. Martha arrived and latched onto Tash.

2. Martha's dad arrived and Martha hated him.

3. Kim started working for Martha's dad in an attempt to provide a future for his child (Noah), so Martha hated him too.

4. Martha told Tasha and Robbie to jump to the same conclusions that she had about Kim, and Tasha said "How high?"

5. Robbie didn't hate Kim but had to stay away from him on the threat of Tasha leaving him; Martha encouraged Tasha to force Robbie to choose between his girlfriend and his best friend.

6. Martha's dad left and she got over it, not caring that she had driven a wedge between Kim and his only friends, not to mention Tasha and her closest relative (Josie).

7. Everyone pretended that it never happened and that everything was fine, when really the damage was done.

8. Kim, Robbie, and Tasha never fully trusted each other again, due to Martha's ability to turn them against each other so easily.

9. Martha accepted no such responsibility for the breakdown of Robbie, Tash and Kim's relationship. Instead she cemented herself as Robbie and Tasha's new best friend, having successfully cut Kim out of their lives.

10. Jack made the mistake of getting caught up by Martha's poisonous personality, and, like Robbie, Tash and Kim, he is now isolated and full of pain because of her.

Yes, I've thought about this often.

Yea...but sometimes the writers don’t seem to deliberately write it the way we perceive it, it’s just how it ends up panning out of a cumulation of storylines and time... i.e they don’t always make it obvious in the way of on-screen verbal acknowledgment or what have you (so in this case it appears not even Robbie, Tasha or Kim are ware of it), in turn the audience don’t always see it the same way as each other. Or they are best mates again when they storyline calls for it.

In my opinion it’s just a bit of sloppy continuity, though I do think they deliberatly moved the characters on from the 'best mate’s-gang' they were in, when Rachel came along..maybe they wanted to stop focusing on the friendships, but still wanted us to think they were just as close...who knows?! I think I started to notice at first though, around the time Kim was signed on with the Project to get rid of the Caravan Park - mid-05. I remember thinking it was out of character for Kim to just blank Robbie and Tasha for the sake of a career, but once he left the project everything was ‘back-to-normal’, or so I thought.

It's funny though, because Rob and Tash had such a good friendship with Kim (The camping trips, the nudie runs etc) and then they both just ditched him and stuck with Martha, who they'd known for.... five minutes. Don't get me wrong I like their friendship with Martha, I just think it's silly that you can turn your back on someone who was your best friend for so long...

Yeah, Em, I was about to say 'How long HAVE you though about this?!'

I love the way you think! You notice things no one else seems to....

LOL...Tasha said 'how high' ?

*Stamps the words "my perception/opinion/attempt to create continuity where the writers probably dropped the ball" all over my first post and some of this one.*

Whatever happened, the distance between them has been adressed. Kim came into the diner after months (literally) of not talking to Robbie and said "It feels like we haven't hung out in ages." To which Robbie said, "That's because we haven't."

Kim dragged Tash along on his mother-finding expedition halfway through last year, but then she got replaced by Hayley. Apart from that, I don't think they had much to do with each other either.

I pinpointed the moment when Robbie and Kim stopped speaking on a regular basis, that being just after Robbie hit Mattie with his car.* I don't think they did anything of significance until Kim's non-wedding to Hayley, which was about 4 months later. Then of course that all went to hell, and Robbie took Kim to the resort to cheer him up, heh heh... About 2 days after that, they weren't speaking again. Then I don't think they had any significant interaction until they went camping.

Kim was present at Robbie and Tasha's wedding and went to the hospital with them. Where he was quickly distracted by something more important, which I think may have been Rachel.

Theeen Robbie and Kim got lost in the bush, but I wouldn't call that significant. I don't think they talked to each other more than twice, and only then it was to discuss the situation. Not what you'd call particularly friendly. There was a moment where Kim wanted Robbie to back him up, but Robbie didn't.

I don't know where the UK is up to, so I'll leave it at that. But things never got much better.

Out of all of them, Robbie seems to be the only one who cares or realises that something's been lost between them. I think Kim knows that things are different, but he's not losing sleep over it. Tasha... Tasha is just Tasha. She'd rather be living "peacefully" with strangers than caring that Robbie and Kim could have both died during that time <_<

*EDITED TO ADD: Just going back to Martha's being a cow for a minute... The reason Robbie hit Mattie with his car was because she'd wandered away from them while they were lined up for a Magic Dirt concert, and when they were driving around looking for her, Mattie stumbled out onto the road in a drugged-up stupor. But that's not what I want to talk about. The thing I wanted to talk about was Martha expecting Robbie to give her his concert ticket, because she really wanted to go. Or perhaps she wanted him to decline the offer because Kim made it, and Kim was clearly the Antichrist at the time. Either way, both Martha and Tasha gave him really filthy looks when he decided to go with Kim. Ugh. I'd have to check how it actually happened, but the point is that Martha and Tash expected Robbie to turn his back on Kim to make them happy. They sicken me <_<
